LOL.  :rollin:

$10 a year more....... Not too bad, but considering all the people in the world who have Live, that's a CRAP TON of more money for Mr. Gates.

All in all, I'm fine with it considering the amount of hours I spend on Xboxlive.

To be honest, I'd pay $100 a year. It's definitely worth it.

here is the chart:

Current

1M Gold:  $7.99

3M Gold:  $19.99

12M Gold:  $49.99

Starting Nov 1, 2010

1M Gold:  $9.99

3M Gold:  $24.99

12M Gold:  $59.99

and no, it is not worth it. maybe if we got additional useful content over the years to justify such an increase. as it stands, there isnt, micro$oft is just all about the money.

Playstation Network is too small compared to xbox live and 10.00 more is no big deal IMO.
PS3 needs Halo 3!

The only thing I like about PS3 is the built in Blu-Ray DVD player.

PS3 is pretty awesome for free online Play, but I'm a Microsoft fan for the original ''Xbox'' and the ''Xbox 360''. The one thing I really really like about the 360 is the Kinect ,like the Wii but better no controller no nothing, its very accurate as well.

The thing you guys are missing is that different systems are better for different games. Caleb and G. Samaritan (and MKC) seem to be shooter fans, so of course they like XBOX the best. I personally like puzzle, adventure, and random other games the best, and I actually find that I like the PS3 over the XBOX nowadays (I used to like XBOX most, but I've fallen somewhat out of love with it since I've discovered the realm of games available to other systems, and since I don't find shooters very fun).

So, for some this is fine, and for others it's the clincher that will make their use of the XBOX dwindle to nothing from the low status it was at before (like me). It's all relative and based on opinion.

I still play the PS3,the only reason I have one is for what you said the different varity of games for system. Like games that are only made on that system (e.g Halo3 ,xbox 360-Killzone PS3) and plenty more.

Correction, they should like PC best for shooters. Free multiplayer, Dedicated servers, AND more precise controls.  ;)

Precise controls - YES
Dedicated servers - I've only been lagged/droped connection in a game 7 times in my three years of gaming, between the PC ,PS3 ,and 360.

PC good for shooters? YEAH! Its awesome when you can hook it up to Big HD TV ,Get Big picture,FUN!

Well, yes. But since the discussion was between consoles, I just left it at XBOX ;)

Any way, each console is good for certain things. PC as well.

Here is what I do with each:

PS3 -shooters,RPG,and some PS3 only games.
Xbox 360 -shooters,MMO's,Role Playing,xbox 360 only games.
PC - Little bit of everything.

Dedicated servers - I've only been lagged/droped connection in a game 7 times in my three years of gaming, between the PC ,PS3 ,and 360.

Thats just one reason Dedicated Servers are better. I'll use CoD4 situations for examples.

1) Better connection
2) Custom server settings (I often play 20-30 minute FFA's in CoD4) This also includes custom map rotations.
3) Server rules (No marty or Last Stand)
4) ADMINS. If someone is hacking or breaking the server rules, you can temp/perma-ban players from servers. So therefore, theres a LOT less hackers.
5) People often play the same servers, so you get to see familiar players more often.
6) Player limits. These can often be set a LOT higher than on Xbox. Example, you can have a 50 player match in the PC version of CoD4. I still have yet to try the insanity that is a 50 player FFA on Shipment. Often times I play 15-25 player FFA's.

I'd say there's a lot more hackers on pc than all consoles combined.  That's one of pc's huge downsides.
