Title: Xbox-360 problem
Post by: Lawfuldog on September 10, 2008, 11:19:50 AM
OK, so my brother decided to leave the Xbox on all night... and most of the next day. And now, everytime I stick a disc in, no matter what disc it is, it will say on the bottom part of the screen (where you could normally 'open tray' 'close tray) "Unplayable Disc"

Any ideas how to fix it? Or is my disc drive broken?

Call Microsoft and tell them the issue.
Hope its covered by the warranty.
If it is, send it in to have it fixed. If not... IDK.

If you just tried this after you had the box on that long then let it cool down but other wise I would say do what Alex said and send it in. Also even if it isnt covered under the warrenty just say it had the Red Rings because they give you a new Xbox any ways.

lol NO you cannot just call microsoft up and say you have RROD to get a new box. first of all, under no circumstances whatsoever do you get a 'new' box; they will first try to repair your own box. if it is unrepairable, then they send you a refurbished box.

First of all: Don't let your brother play it anymore.  ;)

Do your games have any Scratches or fingerprints on them? If not then you could always go to Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/?WT.svl=nav).

*Edit* Hehe, Is this your Problem? (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/909819/en-us)
