Depends on what you want. There's stuff in the Shop Channel that I would definitely consider "worth it".

um, YEAH, wii points are 'worth' it. they are necessary to buy things on the wii.

Not really....Why would you pay $5 to use something you could use on a PC, Mac, etc.

Not really....Why would you pay $5 to use something you could use on a PC, Mac, etc.

thats not the issue here...you're paying $5 for convenience.

however, the wii isnt built to be a multi-media machine. if you want to be using the internet, you'd be better using it on a machine that was built for those kind of things. the internet channel also pales in comparison to other browsers. its also heavily filtered.

This is yet another reason PC's > Consoles. ;)

You can do MORE then just game on it... best is when you practice hiding games before a teacher or boss walks by, and all thats on the screen is your work.  :D

I'm actually starting to turn to PC's. I've lost all faith in the 3rd gen consoles. I've been playing the original Unreal Tournament like a fiend for the past few days.

yes, thats a HUGE edge PC's have, you can go back to the HUGE catalog great old games, and apply 32xQ anti-aliasing and 16x Antisotropy and make em beautiful.
