Shame on me for letting this thread go unattended for so long.

Mega Man II
Jet Force Gemini
Goldeneye
Chrono Trigger
Mega Man X
probably top my list.  Honorable mention to the other Mega Man titles, Castlevania series, and Ninja Gaiden series.  Yes, I'm old school.

I also recommend the Music of Video Games series on Youtube by Garudoh.  The list is something like 500 strong now.
