Well, its rated T so why not discuss it. 8)
If you havent seen it yet, here is a trailer of the multiplayer:

The burn-in method of spawning looks awesome. I wonder if this game could possibly steal some of Halo's thunder.
-
I'm not into war and shooting games, but that looks really cool.
-
Halo + Jetpacks = wyn
I'm suprised it's only rated T
-
Looks a lot like tribes + halo. Good graphics though.
-
when you see the guy with his helmet off it almost looks like Gears but IDK Halo is hard to beat....this looks like a semi rip off of Halo :-\ that is saying "Hey parents don't want your kids playing a horrid absolutely evil game like Halo? well lookie here its like Halo only weaker! its T!"
-
The burn-in looks like it could be cool, except there would have to be counter-sniping mechanics or you'd just get capped on your way down.
-
<shrug> Most modern (console) shooters could be construed as a "rip-off" of Goldeneye, that was a T-rated game.

Im guessing you are hard/impossible to kill while burning in.
*EDIT*
Heres a quote from the Official Xbox Magazine review of it (75/100)
"Ignoring that too-familiar setup, three things keep Section 8 from being just another Halo knockoff. The first is your jetpack, which is always with you and enables short, flying hops across the map or onto high ledges. The second is your armor’s “overdrive,” a sort of super-sprint that kicks in after you’ve been running for a few seconds, and is invaluable for getting across the game’s giant maps. The third, meanwhile, is one of the single best things about Section 8: every time you respawn, you do so high above the map. Because your suit is built to withstand the force of an orbital drop, you can either plummet straight down like a stone, or hit the air-brakes and glide to any spot on the map (while still damaging whatever you land on)."
Sounds pretty fun.

Halo Takeoff? I think so.
-
I likes it.
-
I thought of Tribes 2 when I saw the jumping parts.
-
Looks like Halo and Samus with 1v1 bosses. Kinda cool though.

the first two screams red faction: guerrila. and the third, of course, is just halo ODST.

The jump pack fights reminded me of Outwars and the vehicles reminded me of C&C Renegade.
I find it funny that a FPS is compared to Halo when there were plenty of FPS before Halo.

You and me both. Why not compare it to Unreal, Doom, Quake, or any of those that came long before Halo?
-
Bump: I finally got this working with my comodo firewall. Does anyone else play this at all or want to play?
-
I play Prejudice (or at least, I have) but not the original Section 8. It actually makes it a bit funny to look back on this thread; I had forgotten all about this discussion at the time I was persuaded to get Prejudice. I like it: you get a lot more shooter for 15 bucks than most games give you for 50.
-
Sorry: I meant Prejudice, I don't have the original. I love this title, it is really great for its price tag, let alone the fact its an indie game.
