professional gaming headsets

does anyone else own/use professional gaming headsets? i recently got the new turtle beach x41's for my birthday, but i dont like them much because they cause rf interference with my wireless router. other than that, they're absolutely fantastic: wireless, really deep drivers, and 7.1 surround sound. i'll more than likely go back to the turtle beach x3's or hpx's, as those use infrared and dont interfere with my wireless router.

i'd like to get a pair of astro a40's; i've heard and read really great things about those.

anyone else use professional gaming headesets?

...you're kidding, right? 3.5 mm mini-drivers? stereo sound? these really dont hold a candle to professional gaming headsets...probably just ok if you're a telemarketer...

What games do you play that require headphones?

i dont think pro headsets are exactly 'required' for any of the games on xbox 360, but actually hearing another player with the perk 'dead silence' or literally hearing the pin being pulled off a grenade by another player in cod4 is pretty awesome...and can mean the difference between life or death.

I use it for comp gaming and you should be able to get adapters to play on all systems + usb connectors. and they work REALLY WELL for Dragon Naturally Speaking  and you need a really good mic for that.

Ah, I personally only use headphones for games like CS:S and Americas Army. In counterstrike sound is a very important factor in combat, I just don't see people talking that much in COD4, at least in pubs anyway.
