Techinally this flash game is the "orginal" one i think ;P

If you meant Halo 3... you seriously need to learn something about Game Developers.

Halo = Bungie/Microsoft.
Portal = Valve.

Portal is excellent. And I don't think any amount of Portal-like Flash gaming can make up for having GlaDoS in the game.

Don't need the Orange Box. Just install Steam and d/l the game by itself. Saves all that M-rating hassle.

Is this possible for the Xbox 360 too? I bought it yesterday, but it has not been opened. is your method cheaper?

Steam is a PC app. I don't know if the 360 has Portal on XBLA

It does came out a couple of months ago you can also get portal on 360 via Orange Box

Yes, but if you look at the thread, he was asking if there were other ways to get it on 360 other than the Orange Box, because HL2 bears an M rating that applies to the whole box.

portal is indeed downloadable via xbox live arcarde. not a bad deal either, as there are achievements plus bonus missions to play.
