AoE II

Who plays the game???

Who plays at an average level of being able to beat 1 or 2 hardests fairly easily but anywhere past that hits a wall competitively? (This is about our level)

Of those who wants to join some fun games with me and my friends?

We use 1.0c patch and game ranger to host games.

Be completely honest about your skill level because if you are far above us then we won't play again with you and if you are below us you probably won't have fun.

PM me if you are interested... no need to post.

I was big into that game for a long time.  Lately I've been playing #3.

I can't remember the difficulty level I played at.  I think it was on hardest as long as two things were true: 1) the computers didn't team together and 2) the play speed is minimum.

With that said, I was hesitant to post because I don't have time to play those games on a frequent basis....yet, I do love the game.

I never liked 3 that much. Number two was much better IMO. If you ever are interested in playing then we usually play on friday nights.

How would I know if I had the patch "c" version?  Mine is straight from a box (which is likely not "c").

As for III, I think it has novelty for me.  Recently, I have won on one opponent on moderate and I still barely build an army.  Home shipments have been good enough.  II has traditionally been my favorite because of how big of an upgrade to 1 it was.

The 1.0c patch is on google and you download it to your game file.

http://www.microsoft.com/games/conquerors/downloads.aspx

This is the one I used. The game comes with no patches you have to download them into the game hardware I think.

AoE II was fun for a long time, but now it's dated imo. I'd much rather play a more dynamic RTS.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Please, this is not a place to post feelings on the game...If you want to make a thread about the game and its aspects then feel free to do so. This thread is for people who want to play the game currently because it is still a pretty popular game according to most and I have talked to many who still like this game.

Thanks :)
