Title: Halo: ODST! 105 days left!
Post by: No More Sorrow on June 09, 2009, 09:04:52 PM
It might just be me, but I think that the new Halo: ODST is going to pwn!!!  Some people think that it is just another game to get Bungie some more money.  I kinda like the idea of playing as an ODST!  I used to think that they were useless NPCs that would die from a shot to the foot.  Having health instead of just a shield will ramp up the difficulty (hopefully).

Man, I haven't even gotten to the weapons yet.  2 weapons that have caught my eye are the SMG with the silencer and the pistol (silenced and has a scope)!

Last of all, I cant wait for the firefight game mode.  I know it is a twist off of Nazi Zombies and Gears of War 2's horde mode, but it looks intense.  Instead of making the enemies run faster or get stronger, they add skulls into the mix.  I think that the skulls will make it difficult, for example, the Blind skull, having no HUD or aiming reticule, dang.  4 friends (including you) + hordes of covenant = endless fun!

What are some of your opinions?

HORDE!!? I am defenetely going to pre- order this bad boy. The only thing that is sounds unattractive about this game  (IMO) is the health.  I have always liked the shield system better.

Yeah, supposedly you have a small shield then once that goes down, if you get shot, you lose health.  I have a feeling that it will be set up kind of like Halo 1's health/shield bar.

I don't think this game is allowed to be discussed on these boards.

unfortunately, halo: odst is an m-rated game. however, we can talk all you like about odst's in halo wars, which is a t-rated game. if you've looked into halo wars, which does feature odst's as a playable unit (albeit to only one leader), you'll find out they're far more useful than being useless npc's this time around...they're the strongest infantry in the game. pretty cool units for being just one class under a spartan.
