I've played most of the songs with the Guitar, Beat It and Crazy Train are personal favorites.

Still can't get a hang of the drums... Too hard to get the foot pedal in there.  :-X

I LOVE THIS GAME! My RA got it today and I played drums & guitar all afternoon. It has everything you love about Rock Band without the stink and all the goodness of good old tried and true GH except even cooler with the slide feature! It's the best game ever made.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

GHWT is awesome!!! i got my copy right after church. there are pros and cons about the game.

PRO:
You can have nearly anything the way you want it (the way your guitar is designed, how your person looks, and have up to 4 players instead of 2)

CON:
The hammer-ons are like GH2, you have to hit them at just the right time.

There are a lot more pros and cons that i could list, but i would much rather just go play the game now.

Rock band is teh stink. The guitar is awful because it has a crappy engine, and the songs aren't that great for guitar. The drums were ok before I played GHWT and realized how much better those drums are; now I can't play the rock band drums anymore. The vocals...well, GHWT just has more songs that I know/like. Heck, even the bass on GHWT is better.

I should be getting it tomorrow. I'm lookin the most forward to The Wind Cries Mary cause I'm a huge Hendrix fan.. But I can't wait for Santeria, Float On and B.Y.O.B also.. Lots of good songs.. good stuff. Looks like my favorite song list for a GH so far.

After looking at everything i'm starting to like rock band/rock band 2 better...it has more songs than GH plus many of the songs GH has and for some reason i can spend more time playing RB than GH..it just seems more fun and i dunno why lol..maybe it's because GH3 seemed to make some of their songs seem completely impossible to play..and while there is quite a few of those on RB and RB2 it's just, for me, more fun to play on RB. Maybe it's the whole band thing where me and my bro can play thru the "story" thing and unlock songs and do challenges together, but i dunno. lol. I saw GHWT's drum set and was kinda disappointed. I mean they just made the drums like the guitar it seemed. No inovations just 5 things to hit and no pedal to push, which is what made playing the drums on RB fun and hard at the same time.

Just my 2 cents.

It's generally like that. The people who aren't as good prefer RB.

Few points, though. GH has a better engine for both drums and guitar. I don't have much experience with the karioke on either so idk there, but I'm going to assume GH's is better too. But the drum set is WORLDS better. The RB drum set makes no sense to me because I actually play drums a little. Not having the sticks crossed messes me up. And GH does too have a pedal.

the hard part is getting use to the notes, for some reason the different shapes mess me up..so now when i go back to GH..i can't play as well as I use too  :'(

The demo doesn't have a pedal because they don't want people sitting down and playing, but the actual game has one. The Rock Band demos don't have pedals either.

I didn't like Rock Band (first one) much at all for the guitar..(it did have some fun songs though) but rock band 2 is consideribly harder for the guitar and it has even more songs than the first one with backwards compatibility(minus only 3 songs from orginal rock band) as well as over 300 downloadable songs and plently of songs i enjoy listening too/playing. The bass however doesn't seem too hard from what i played but my brother said it was hard on a few of the impossible songs. Another thing i noticed is that GH4/RB2 have a lot of the same songs and i was watching side-by-side videos on you-tube and I thought RB2 did a better job with them. I don't know what it is but i don't think i'll be getting GH4 anytime soon..unless i get it for Christmas. I'll just stick with RB2 and GH3 =)

Again, as a upper-tier player, I can't stand RB because the engine fails at fast playing on guitar. Also, the drums are still inferior.
