Same here, though I did enjoy N64 a lot as well.

I was never a big fan of the Nintendo games...the only ones I ever played really were this kirby game and pokemon battle stadium. And that is because our beach house we rent has a nintendo 64 and those two game haha...mario kart is fun though! But I would drop a nintendo controller in a split second if there was a 4th person needed for some gears of war!   ;)

Hey now, don't be saying Goldeneye was no good... That game rocked the house.

Also, I'll take Crysis (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/ScreenShot0010.jpg) over Gears of War anyday. ;) *just took that screen shot with settings maxed except for AA, which was at 4x... and it was running at a playable speed. Usually I turn a few things down just for playing it, but I can very well run it that high. Good Fight 360.  :)

We actually did rent one of the James Bond games and that was fun but nothing compared to Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, Resident Evil. Nintendo had its day but now its the day of the 360. Wii is a good idea but I can only spend an hour at a time playing before I get bored and that is only for the tank game on wii play...any other game i can only play for maybe 10 mins. Oh and guitar hero but why buy a wii and guitar hero when I can get a 360, guitar hero, and all other games that are awesome!

Xbox 360. Hands down.

No competition, IMO.

You still have to compete with PC's which get free multiplayer.  :)

I don't include PC as a video game system, due to its main purpose being for business and other means of communication and not just gaming.

Yet PCs still have some of the most popular games made... that consoles dont... Sims, WoW, Starcraft, Age of Empires... and many many many many more.

PC is just as good for gaming. Besides, mine can most likely run much higher graphics than any 360 could dream of..  :)

And the free multiplayer.

*EDIT*
Same could be said for the 360 soon... unless Facebook and twitter are considered games now.

I never said that PCs don't have popular games, or great gaming capabilities. I'm saying that in my opinion, I do not personally call my computer a video game system. Because I use my computer for school/communicating with friends more than anything else (despite the insane amount of time I play WoW).  :P

Oh and we get you have an expensive computer. You mention it everytime a computer/gaming thread comes up. It doesn't make us with laptops feel any better. *cue tears*  :'(

XD

Still, it just bugs me when people say PC is not a gaming platform when clearly it can be.

Browse this list though... pretty interesting stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games)

And that is sad... nintendogs has outsold everything else on the DS... wow.

Yeah Nintendogs is very popular, sad but true.

Still, its interesting to look at how many PC games have sold over 1 million vs how many xbox and 360 games have sold over 1m combined. PC wins.  :)

I had nintendogs and taught my dog how to do a backflip, handstand, and a street dance roll thing. Really weird.

I'd have to say the SNES was the best console, although I grew up playing the 8-bit Nintendo, and all the classic Mega Man / Zelda / Mario / Castlevania / Ninja Gaiden / Capcom Disney games.

I think the only time since then that Nintendo has had a great product with a good line of high-quality titles is with the DS.  After companies had about a year to adjust, the console just got awesome and stayed that way.

I also think the N64 was underrated in a lot of ways.  I think all of Rare's best games (not named Battletoads) came out on that console (Blast Corps, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Kazooie, etc).  Sly Cooper developer Sucker Punch started out on that console with Rocket: Robot on Wheels, which is the best game you never played.  Mario 64 competes with Mario 3 for Best Mario Game Ever.  Factor Five did great Star Wars titles on the 64.  All in all I have 35 or 40 games for my N64 (and probably ten more that I wish I had) and because I like them so much, I am still playing that console over ten years after I first got it.

I wasn't able to start playing the PS2 until recently, not counting Guitar Hero titles, but between those, platformers like Sly, Jak and Ratchet, the Kingdom Hearts titles, the games by the Ico guys, and I'm sure there are some other small clusters of games I'm forgetting, it has an extremely impressive library.

But SNES still pwnz all, if for no other reason than this:

PC's sure are gaming systems! They trump any system any day with RTS games. Age of Empires 2 is my favorite PC game almost my favorite game of all time! You can also play need for speed on computer pretty well and depending on your graphics card you can play a LARGE plethora of games!

Xbox 1 is my fave "Box" system as it had alot of different RPG's, FPS's and loads of other games that I still play today.

The PSP comes in second for me because when hacked (Not for the questionable use of PSP games) and you have emulaters on it the system becomes amazing.
