Thanks for helping start this Colin and Pol. I always like some backup.  :)

1. Christian Music is in fact typically of poorer quality than secular.

I can confidently state this fact for the simple reason that it the majority of them were as good as secular musicians, they would have at least been offered secular contracts and then turned them down based on their beliefs. However, examples of this are few and far between. Combine this with having to say Jesus, God, and Amen every song, and you get what typically becomes poorer quality music. And Andy, listing off bands like that does not prove anything other than that you like those bands.

2. A "Christian" MMORPG would suck.

Why? Because the most important thing about any Roleplaying game is the freedom to do almost anything. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do much more in Warcraft than in the Jesus RPG. Because in Warcraft, the creators aren't hampered by their convictions. While I might not like some "demonic" elements that designers put in games, I can choose not to participate and have a "christian" playthrough/character. It's not that hard. Redemption has demonic elements. Stop playing it.

3. I don't care what George Lucas wants to say to me through Obi-wan.

Is that line total crap? Yeah, most likely. But it is Jedi code. Jedi are supposed to be universally accepting and tolerant of all who obey Galactic law. Their only absolute is to follow the Code and to protect the Galactic Order. Other than that, it's all pretty realtive.

Even the secular world has room for subpar bands like underoath. (opinion)

If you'll read my post again, you'll notice that's not what I am talkign about.

Actually there WAS a christian MMORPG I saw... It was called Heaven MMORPG... Didn't work out though, wonder why. Other people on the boards and I have tossed around MMO type games(Bible Based) and we have ideas that might work but we lack the funds to make them. MMORPGS are expensive.

They were "good" enough to make it into the secular world. They then left the Christian world to play in the secular world (upon which Spencer Chamberlain started the whole drug thing again, but hey, there's nothing non-Christian about doing drugs).

Colin, we've been over this. There has to be a world war three and a world war four before there can be a world war five.
No Daniel, see, that's the beauty of World War Five. It's so big, it just skips right over the other two.

The main reason a Bible based RPG would suck is the rigid caste system and strict government of that time period. You can't have a historically accurate "wild west". Without a "wild west", MMORPG's suck (Jagex...)

I'm pretty sure this is going to change all of my stinks to stinks, isn't it?

To what Daniel said about U2, Christianity, in its purest deconstructed form, has NOTHING to do with the Bible and everything to do with Jesus. However, all we know of Jesus is that which is written in the Bible and the various other texts from that time so they have become an essential part of our culture.

lets not make this a debate we all know who wrote it end of story.  >:(

I like watching 11 year olds 14 year olds fail at debating.

i can debate if i want to, i think any one can debate if they want to! but the question is, do you want to? is this something to debate about? drb let me ask you this when you said what you said here it is.

He believes the Bible. He just doesn't think that God himself wrote it. God-inspired men who ARE subject to mistake wrote the Bible.

Back on topic.

at the ending  part, when you said "back on topic" after "He believes the Bible. He just doesn't think that God himself wrote it. God-inspired men who ARE subject to mistake wrote the Bible." wouldnt that then make it to wher you arent good at debating either? since its obvious you only said "back on topic" cause you arent good at debating, and, you wanted to stop right ther so you wouldnt lose?  ???
Ask Colin! Unless his beliefs have changed recently, he can tell you what I have stated! Why should we debate about Colin's beliefs when he can tell you??

o_O i think most christian music is good..... Tobymac,Dc Talk,Casting Crowns,Petra,Kutless and others......... oh! and Numa Numa ;D

Thats a mighty thin list.  ;)

I'll list ALL of the truely good Christian music I can think of:

Neal Morse
Theocracy
Harmony
Supertones
Tobymac
DC Talk
Supertones
Petra
Newsboys
Demon Hunter
Skillet
Stryper
TFK
Phil Keaggy
Audio Adrenaline
White Heart
Pillar

18 bands are all I can really think of... compared to the 43 nonchristian bands in my iTunes that I listen to frequently.

There are so many contradicting terms in that post.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I still say citing specific bands as "good" is just making a list of favorites. There really needs to be some outside comments from non-christians and christians alike confirming that so and so is a good musician.

but its a fairly accurate statement to say the christian music industry in comparison to the secular music industry is still a couple clicks behind.

I HAVE SPOKEN. (Good reference, good episode)

I'll go ahead and throw in my opinion and agree with those who have said that Christian music, games, and movies tend to be much worse than those of their secular counterpart.

But there are quite a few Christian bands that I like more than most secular. (Skillet, TFK, RED, Demon Hunter)

To be brutally honest, the only MMORPG that I have ever played that is worth playing is WoW. But I understand if you don't want that in your home, and I respect that decision.

And now you are starting to do the "misquote" game... have another EPIC. FAIL.

EDIT: Oh I see you thought that I was misquoting you. No, those are just the things that I thought were epic fail. Like I LOVE Thousand Foot Krutch, so I edited that out. Those are the things I thought only furthered Colin's point.

Andy, everyone has opinions. Don't flame people for having opinions. You'll have a miserable life if you do, because truth is, no one is going to have the same opinion as you, so deal with it.
