Play WoW and don't roll Warlock or Shaman.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I'm sure one exists, however, I'm sure that it (being Christian) is absolutely horrible, simply because most Christian music, movies, and video games have a reputation for being horrible.

Also, what would you do? Go around and "save" people? You know what happens when a billion Christians of different denominations log into an MMORPG and attempt to save eachother? World War Five.

Colin, we've been over this. There has to be a world war three and a world war four before there can be a world war five.

I'm sad to agree that usually Christian "versions" of things turn out to be rip offs.

That said, there are numerous exceptions, including Redemption, Tobymac, and Third Day.

Thats why I said a GOOD Christian one.

Play an unchristian one.
Play WoW and don't roll Warlock or Shaman.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to bring witchcraft and demonism into my house, even if it is a game.

colin, i can prove you wrong on that statement
Skillet, Tree 63, third day, jars of clay, thousand foot crutch, barlow girl, toby mac, hawk nelson, want me to keep going on christian music?

lord of the rings, chronicles of narnia, left behind, i could go on forever on christian movies

Victory at hebron is the only christian video game that comes to mind.
but point being, your very wrong and your just gonna be more wrong the more ya post stupid stuff like ya just did

I think he's partly right. Nowadays, Christians don't come up with something different. They just make cheap ripoffs of something that doesnt even need a Christian substitute. I mean come on, Apples to Apples Bible Edition?

Really?  Do you think Redemption is a cheap ripoff of something that didn't need a Christian substitute.  I heavily disagree.

While sometimes this occurs, only Sith use absolutes.......

Andy:

All of those bands are debatable.

LotR, not a Christian movie, Chronicles of Narnia, not a Christian movie, Left Behind, not a good movie. House is the only thing in that category that's really an exception. And for every House, there are a hundred C Me Dance (look it up, they're serious).

There are no good Christian video games. There are some ok ones, but nothing even close to even a mediocre console game.

which is why obi-wan owned anikan but that's only going off topic

yugiohand MTG already have a christian substitute and that's redemption.
but hey, don't get me wrong, Redemption is an awesome game and it should be a substitute to christians who already play MTG and yugioh.

Redemption isn't a substitute. Its a good example of an original idea thought up by a Christian.

And BTW, Colin the part you are wrong about is this:
Quote
Also, what would you do? Go around and "save" people? You know what happens when a billion Christians of different denominations log into an MMORPG and attempt to save eachother? World War Five.
I disagree that a good Christian MMORPG could never be made. No you wouldn't walk around and "save people". What about battling with the Nephilim? Awesome possibilities. The fact is: When something is labeled "Christian" it usually is poor quality. That makes me mad.

I completely agree with the minister. (Except Tobymac and Third Day really are awesome. ::) )

believes part of the Bible actually.

Anyway, back on topic.  Unfortunately, there really aren't any Christian MMORPGs.  Sounds like a good idea though.

He believes the Bible. He just doesn't think that God himself wrote it. God-inspired men who ARE subject to mistake wrote the Bible.

ok so how are you gonna make the bible if God didnt write it? then that would make the bible a lie and it is not.

lets not make this a debate we all know who wrote it end of story. >:(
God didn't write the Bible. Everyone knows that.

Anyway, back on topic.  Unfortunately, there really aren't any Christian MMORPGs.  Sounds like a good idea though.

Sadly, I don't agree. Christian games are SO HARD to make, because they have such a limited amount of content to use. Redemption is an obvious exception, but trying to force the bible into a different format just gets old.

Here is the conundrum: In order for something to be fresh and unique, it needs something NEW. Well, any time you try to make something new, its automaticly not something from the Bible, and therefore no longer Christian. It may not be BAD, but it then enters that "grey area" where its neither end of the spectrum. I learned this a while ago and just learned how to filter out the truely bad stuff from the grey stuff. Example, I refuse to listen to Slayer (outright AWEFUL lyrics), but I quite enjoy Dream Theater (not christian, but never offensive to me).

Sadly, I also agree with the point that most Christian entertainment is a rip-off of whatever is popular on TV or Radio. Yes there are exceptions like Theocracy, Harmony, Supertones, Neal Morse, and others, but MOST of christian entertainment is boring and repetitive.

No, it's a terrible line. Laughable, even.

The point is, "Christian" doesn't have to be "biblical." That's the huge mistake everyone makes when it comes to manufacturing "Christian" products. Christ is still alive. U2 is the best "Christian" band of all time, and they never sing about the bible. Thr3e is a fantastic "Christian" novel, and it's not another lame plot about someone finding faith and iirc it doesn't even feature the bible or too much overt reference to religion.

The point is that anything that is primarily a "substitute" will fail. Redemption may be a substitute, but in name only, as it's a unique game with as good or better mechanics than other popular card games. Christian products can be bible based, but don't need to be, and always need to be original.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Why not? It was the stupidest thing Obi-Wan could possibly have said in that moment. It contradicted, philosophically, everything he had ever learned, taught, and believed in.
