Snt my 360 in to get repaired.... Won't be playing for a few more weeks....

you didnt get 3RROD? thats the most common problem with the 360, and its a free repair...

I know how to fix that... you should have posted your problem on the boards before you sent it in.

Then what happens if i get the 3 lights? Microsoft won't take it if it's opened...

Most people won't believe me... but this is how you fix an overheating xbox360:

The problem is at this point the 360 won't function cause it thinks it's still overheated. What you have to do is leave it on, rap it in towels and let it sit. This will overheat is REDICULOUSLY so, enough that it will not overheat, but instead shut off and reset. Now the xbox 360 is reset, and it no longer "thinks" that it's overheated.

Then give it a day to cool off, maybe some cooling pads from the freezer. When you turn it on again, it should work like new!  I know at least one person who tried this with EXACTLY your problem and it works fine.

No... just... no... It's an Xbox... It dosen't think.... And why on earth would I want to lose all my memory?

And fixed. I meant the "memory" of thinking that it's overheated. And I may be a TAD off the tequnicalities of why that works, but it definitely works. I'm serious.

no when you wrap it in towels it fuses this chip that becomes loosend note this the chip will probaly only work for a week or two then come off again and you will prolly have to send it in for the fix.

Btw Fire do you have a 360?

No, but I'm saving up for one. I should have one in maybe like 3 months.
