T2 Level decks

I'm hoping on starting a playgroup near me at some point in the future, and I would like to be able to introduce the people in it to T2 after they have gotten decent at playing. I dont play T2 much, so I needed some deck ideas for T2 level up decks, like Mr. Underwood does with T1. So if people that play it can give me some input on several that go from easy to hard to beat, but not like placing in nats hard, Including what is basically a T2 starter deck, that would be awesome. .thank you.

I'm looking for decks from level 1-4, 4 having the ability to get in the top half or so at nats, but not win. I'm planning on doing it where Lvl 5 changes every year to be the 1st place at nats.

A classic T2 beginner strategy is to purchase two starter decks, double up on as much as you're able while keeping the decks balanced and filling the few remaining gaps. I&J are fairly competitive and easily upgraded with cards from several of the newer sets.

Also good for the next level beyond that is to start with tin themes.  When I first started playing T2, I took the Judges tins and put that together with black Canaanites that came in tins, and that formed an excellent base to a deck I'm still using 3 years later (and has taken 2nd at Nats before).  The problem is that this can be more expensive due to needing more tins, but some players or playgroups who have played awhile may have more of these cards around (and the TEC packs come with some, too), so it is a next option to look at, particularly because the tins lend themselves to cohesive themes that are also generally intuitive.

I'll scrounge up some decklists I have to send.

If you comb through the posts in this section, I think there's a thread or two that talk about inexpensive yet competitive T2 strategies (some simpler, others more complicated). Keep your eye on the landofredemption.com site as I am planning to do some articles on T2 deck building in the coming months.  8)

Well, What I'm looking for is something like the T1 system I have.  it is like this.
Lvl 1- big numbers, no SA, basically something that woulda won tournments when Redemption first came out
Lvl 2- small character, all battle winners
lvl 3- BBn Charactersm MC Enhancements, Immune to lone heoes
Lvl 4A- Priests/Syrians
Lvl 4B-Angels Demons
Lvl 5A- Super spped, almost no def.
Lvl 5B- Stonewall
Lvl 6A-C, 2 Meta decks, nats winner
I basically am looking for that, some difficult decks to face, but not really stuff that will win a lot of tournaments, but in T2. the Starter deck one would probabally be the one I would sell as a starter for it, now I just need the decks, but I think I'll only do four levels, with the nats winner being level 5.

So level 5 isn't going to work the way you want it.  Type 2 is even on offense and defense so you can't be defense or offense light.

Well...sort of.  You can build a defense that is just based on speed and the hope that your few battle-winners hold the line until you can draw out what you need to win (Pharisees have been my go-to for that type of deck).  But that doesn't have any real staying power.  The opposite would be something that was more reliant on bleeding your opponent with your good cards (I Am Holy and the like) while establishing a defense that can set up an end-game lock-out, when you have all of your offensive pieces and can win the game.

Honestly, 'meta' or Nats-winning decks are probably going to be easier in some ways to play than a Stonewall, and I would say that 5 should instead just be "combo decks" because the very best of the Nats winners (IMO) are combo decks that take more thinking and skill to play, and you need to get used to finding and protecting your pieces (and the RIGHT pieces at the right times).

I'm not saying those are the decks. I'm saying that those are the ones for the T1 Level system. it goes through different decks that give  lot of problems to people, so that you are ready in a situation like them. I am saying that I want something like that for the T2, like if Sites are a problem in some T2 games, but not the kind of thing that would pop up often and would be decently easy to get around, it would be the T2 Lvl one. So decks that show some of the challenges of playing T2.

So you have to have both evil and good cards the same in type two, even like the fortresses and dominants?

Your don't have to have the same number of evil and good fortresses or dominants, but the total number of good and evil cards must be the same.

Ok so the fortresses and dominants are included in the count for good and bad cards or not?

Yes. The total number of all good cards must be equal to the total number of all evil cards. And DAEs/DAC's count as neutral.
