Could you use the three lions deck builders products to build a solid T2 as well? If so, what should i consider? I haven't really played T2 but I'd like to for upcoming tournaments.

definitely. the deck builders are a great way to have a solid start above starter decks for not too much more than they are.

t2 is more combo based though, so many of the cards you may get in a deck builder would only come as singles. what i would do if i wanted to build a t2 out of the deck builders is order those as the foundation, then order multiples of the cards i need additional copies of. the price may be up to around $40 then from the $25 or so it would be to build t1 (assuming you aren't using the more expensive cards in the game). you definitely want to have multiple copies of the cards you plan to use more than once per game for t2. that really is the strength of t2 over t1 is you get to do things you can't do in t1 because you are limited.

Combo decks are easier to pull off in Type 2 than Type 1, but that doesn't mean you have to run something like that to be successful.  There is a reason that Judges have won most of the major tournaments in Type 2 for the last several years. . . They are fast and extremely powerful.  It isn't that they are the trickiest offense, but because they are fast and have some very strong battle winners (Samuel's Edict) or very good cards that help as well (Ambush the City, Gideon's Call) they can normally set up before other decks can and you don't have what stops them a lot of times.
