New Strats

Just curious, what has everybody been playing with or seen being  played since the release of the new set? The one thing I have noticed is that Assyrians are very strong, and with the super Gid that will be going around this year, they have two enhancements that take care of Super Gid, DOU and Wonders. Also ASA is an MVP bc he can take care of pretty much anything that hurts your deck. Anyway, I think type 2 will be fun this year.

Samuel decks, Geneptians, Purple/Red. That basically sums it up.

This is the T2 thread, not T1. And if you think that your list sums up T2, I can assure you you are mistaken.

Yeah I missed the Type 2. Ignore what I said but I heard Judges were good in Type 2.

Hey Carl, I think you need to play Non-Genesis Blue with a Syrian Defense!  I heard that was going to be the top deck this year!   ;D  ;)

I've yet to see Isiaah/Angels getting any love. Judges alone are good, Judges/Angels are better, IMO. All Genesis decks are going to be a staple. Assyrians and Magicians are running amuck. I still like N.T. green and the new green types. Purple/Red are very strong, straight red is strong. Defenses are not what they used to be.

Tyler is alive!  As far as defenses go, I think they are as strong if not stronger, but because almost every offensive color got a huge boost they just don't have the firepower to back them up!

I have been seeing a ton of Pharisee and Assyrian/Magician defenses. Now that I think of it, I think all my recent games have been against one of those two defenses.

Yes I am alive, Chris I hit a string of horrible luck I guess you could say. I will give you a ring this weekend. Defenses got weaker because offenses got stronger. Sites got somewhat of a boost, but fortresses, which are critical for defenses, took a huge hit. It is hard to lock someone out, no more protect forts so defenses are open, and more than 1-2 strategies per brigade, so it is hard to build for the meta. As of right now I am sure people are playing with anything and everything, but we all know that changes after March...
