Looking for Offense suggestions

Hey guys,

Looking for Offense suggestions for a new deck. The caveat is that I will likely have Household Idols active as much as possible. I'm also planning to use Nazareth so search-reliant strategies are out as well.

The defense is 41 cards (for a 105 card deck).

So, no banding and no searching...ready, set, go!

Not a bad idea, but remember that Household Idols will be active most of the time, so I need an offense that does not need a lot of artifact support.

I'm probably going to have 2 slots for "good" artifacts. Right now I'm thinking it will be Chariot of Fire and Lampstand (mostly to protect Household Idols).

Prophets might not be bad, recursion with Ezekiel and Isaiah plus 4 provisions to battle your own defense, Hosea is sweet and I think it's Micah that allows for some serious recursion as well. Obadiahs cave and midwives should be in there as well and u won't need chariot of fire.

That might be a possibility. I was thinking about using Teal and pairing it with something else, and Green is an obvious choice with all the dual-brigade Prophet/Priests.

Plus, to make it even better you can activate Iron Pan on Ezekiel as well to make it even worse for them. The only problem is that Hidden Treasures is something that's very useful to prophets and there's no temple that it can be held in. Otherwise prophets seem like a good option.

Samaritans? Water Jar would be something that can be used if timed right and some of there stuff is pretty fun and they have a good battle winner that's CBN by evil cards and Meeting the Messiah. Just a thought.

Defense does not include Babylonians so Iron Pan isn't that useful.

Thought about Luke but again, only have the 2 slots for artifacts dedicated to the offense.

Thanks to all who have given input so far, appreciate it!

With a prophets offense, you'll likely have a bit of silver in there too (even though HHI stops the ones that band to prophets), so you could throw in Protection of Jerusalem to counter an Assyrian D (which I've heard is all the rage in T2).  Prophets have 3 heroes that CBN negate Assyrian Camp, so you could discard their whole D with Angel of the Lord or Razor or Forest Fire.  Plus PoJ protects your Obadiah's Caves and Temple (assuming it is not Herod's Temple).

Red also combines well with Teal and offers a decent amount of CBN battle winners, the most devastating of which is Trumpet and Sword on Uriah. Although red has strong banding you could use things like Spy, Uriah and the Centurions. Also, teal offers some really nice combos by banding in Ahimelek the Hittite that aren't stopped by HHI. You'd need to find a way to make room for The Silver Trumpets, or you could use Ezra's Journey.

I think you missed that he was hoping to run HHi which stuffs a lot of reds power

Hmm, Teal/Red is also very intriguing...

Seems pretty likely the offense will include Teal in some way, now to decide on a second brigade...

I like Red/Teal, with an emphasis on Red. Spy is one of the most underrated T2 Heroes in the game. He is generic, so you can continually use your smallest copy available for good initiative, he gets you a peek at your opponent's hand, and he can use Bravery of David. The biggest problem with Red is the only good anti-capture options are Ahimelek and Blue Tassles/Cov o'Palastine. Also, Red is not terribly fast without Ishmaiah, who won't be able to enter battle as much as possible.

I have built a Teal/Red offense, going to make a Teal/Green version and see what that looks like.

Just when I start to win a few games in type 2, Guardian comes out of retirement with Gabe and the Professor giving him advice. Give me a break!

Disciples isn't a bad choice either. There's some obvious banding, but it's not artifact heavy, and the end-game strategy doesn't use banding at all.

I have considered Disciples. I did end up building the Green/Teal version but I haven't tried it out yet. There could definitely be a better fit.

I would give NT Gold a solid look over and see what utilities line up with your defense. Heroes like WatW and Generous Widow thrive on solo rescues and good initiative, so HHI is not a problem. Good Samaritan grabs Kindness from discard pile, so Nazareth isn't a problem there. Watchful Servant gives you inish and protection from capture. And Water Jar is... well... just... Water Jar: awesomeness.

House at Bethany punishes players (or brothers ;)) who run Orange strong defenses. Herod's Temple will allow your heroes to cheaply "instead" some early game kills. Zaccheus (pre-Nazareth) grabs you both of these fortresses (and maybe an evil one, depending on defense) and can play R&R for a CBN battle winner. Herod's Temple may even offer you some synergy on defense too.

Downside? No real drawing options... You've got Martha and Hospitality of Martha.

Fortunately, Panic Demon (Orange) negates NT Forts...;) Ask MJB how well NT Gold works vs. Demon defenses, he'd probably just sigh and shake his head.
