So wait...is this the deck you are going to use or the one you are going to give to a RLK who then beats you... ::)

Matt only knows how to play ANB decks. If you use the maximum number of Nazareth's and a few ways to dig them out of your deck you'll do fine.  ::)

Usually when I want to attempt to beat Matt, I just grab ~40 good cards and ~40 evil cards at random, put in the requisite number of LSs, sprinkle a few sites and artifacts, and make sure it's a legal deck.

However, it looks like you did just about that, so you should be good. If you want to aim a bit higher, like rescuing a soul or two from me, then I would suggest:

Neutrals: Take out 1x HHI and Priestly Crown (neither will be needed if you make my suggested changes).

Heroes: Take out Joseph, Ezekiel, Hosea, John the Baptist, Samuel, David, and Miriam. Replace them with another Isaiah, Micah, 3 more Seraphs, OT Michael, and OT Gabriel.

GEs: Take out a Two Bears, both Plague of Frogs, and 1x Obadiah's Caves. Put in 2x Striking Herod, one more Live Coal, and 2x Wheel Within a Wheel (with the extra spot from taking out the two neutrals).

ECs: Evil looks decent, but you definitely want to max out on Siege Armies. I'd take out a Sargon, Rabshakeh, and PotW to fit the other three in. You also probably want at least one more Assyrian Survivor, but possibly two more if you have room. The one you can fit in with the extra spot, the other you could probably get away with ditching one of your Camps (remember, if Camp is up, you can't use the Seraph+PoJ combo on your Assyrians).

EEs: Pretty standard, except I'm not even sure what Assyria Conquers Israel does; unless it is a CBI battle winner, you should take it out in favor of another DoU. I'm also not convinced that Words of Discouragement is going to help you much either, there is too much drawing for just one to have too much of a negative impact on your opponent. I'd probably replace it with another Confusion.

Now, these changes don't come with any kinds of guarantees (I know you better than that) but I am confident that you will fare at least somewhat better with them, and your chances of beating Matt increase significantly. Your chances of beating me also increase by a factor of 1000%...After all, 10 x 0 = 0...

I have a better idea. Give this to an RLK who has never played type 2. Copy someone's deck who doesn't grab a random stack of cards and even out numbers with no SA cards, and then you might have a .001% chance of beating the RLK.

Also, you should change the title to Feeling Green Behind the Ears

Actually Nameless, I tend to give pre-built decks that others have given me ideas to build that anyone who doesn't have "Ignorance" as an avatar can win with and they usually draw me to play and soundly beat me.

Prof: I think you called me either a low life Reptile who works for a company that "operates in the lodging, sporting, airport, gaming and entertainment industries" or some "Idiot Out Walking Around".

I will consider these fascinating suggestions and hopefully someone will actually explain to me why I am listening to you considering that none of your suggestions came with a video tutorial on what to do when I have Gabe or Justin down 6-1 other than let them when six straight souls.  :P

EmJayBee: you are unusally silent so I'm assuming that you are cowering in a corner sucking your thumb, awaiting the all out massacre you know I'm bringing with me.  :o

Actually the best thing you could do is to leave all your neutral cards on another table and play type 2 multi without them. For details ask Professoralstad, he won a district tournament with that strategy last year.

The one strategy that could even make me a winner and he doesn't even offer it to me. For shame.

Glad your feeling all the Love from the guys in Minnesota. Remember bring two air mattresses in case one gets stolen.

PS. I have all the cards you need for your deck. Your deck will catch people by surprise. Deacons on offense and Greeks on defense.

Mwahahahahahaha...

*No one* will be beating me this year. Suffice to say Wild Bill and I have teamed up to cook up a secret strategy that will not only make this year's T2 Shootout the bestest ever but will also make my defeat unpossible.

True story. My defense was super tough that game.

Glad your feeling all the Love from the guys in Minnesota. Remember bring two air mattresses in case one gets stolen.

Stolen? I assume you mean punctured with a tiny needle to produce a nearly invisible hole, through which air will escape slowly enough so that you won't notice it immediately, but by the middle of the night, it will be as deflated as the chances of you beating any player whose last name begins with a vowel. (Don't worry, 'B' isn't a vowel. Not sure what they teach in those Missouri schools, so just making sure you realize that).

Shoot! Now I'll have to employ my anti-Deacon strategies on defense...thanks for the heads up Bill! I don't even lose to Craig when he is up 6-4-4-4 on the last round of T2 multi*, so it would be ultra-embarassing to lose head-to-head.

*True story. Craig had the lead 6-4-4-4 at 2011 Nats. On my last turn, I drew both SoG and NJ, made a successful rescue, and ended up winning the game.

With the right play-by-play announcer and color commentator, in addition to mic'd up players, I'd pay to watch.  ;)

I don't know that Matt and I are all that talkative in games. Usually the only talk is Matt saying 'Craig play this card it will work!' And me saying 'Matt, I thought you said it would work' and Matt saying ' when I play tested against my dog, it worked' and me asking 'why do you call Bill your Dog?' Pretty boring stuff. Year after year after year....

Fairly sure. Though I did accidentally put in a second copy of AotL instead of my GoYS in that deck as I discovered during the first round. But I do remember Bryon saying my deck was legal, so there had to be some neutrals in there.
