Job and The Angels

I just want to start off by saying this deck dominated a slightly modified version of Gabe's T2 Nats winning deck in the hands of a very capable player, 7-2. But I also want to say that my experience in T2 is very limited, and I'm sure this could be improved.

Deck updated.

Basically the strategy is to get Job, attack with Job, if they harm or defeat him, he goes to D&A. If they give him initiative, he uses Job Overcomes or Job's Faith to clear their hand of evil cards. I am Holy, Chamber, and the Angels make Job's job (heh) easier, and Angel at Shur and Angel of Warning have the added benefits of searching for Job and Dust and Ashes respectively. And when everything I need is searched for, AoW can search for Nazareth to put searches on hold the rest of the game (Nazareth really messed with my opponent's Outpost/Numerous as the Stars, etc.).

On defense, the Heretics are there to stall by protecting the choses LS's from rescue, and they are even recurrable with Marketplace. The best thing about the Heretics is their genericity, which helps vs. both SWJ lock and makes Marketplace really nice. Creeping Deceiver and Sapphira make a nice little 7/12 FBTN with the added bonus of some LS protection. Then of course I have the standard Crimson cards of Nebby+Pride, Leviathan, Midianite Attack, yada yada yada. Wolves in Sheeps Clothing helped in the one game I played in countering both Zebulun and Jacob+RTC.

I'd take out the books of Jashar copies for Abes Servant to Ur copies to get around immunity/ annoying SA though Job's faith does that as well.  Very nice deck.  Job's Faith/ Dust and Ashes are just a sick cards.

King Reaboam+Jobs Faith sounds mean too. It seems like false teacher gives up initiative. maybe more decievers and crown of thorns to help with inish and abe servant

how would i hurt this deck...
i would need to get rid of golgotha and wolves in sheeps clothing. philipi first though.

so add more of those.

nazareth + side battle. give them silver guy (they no search), u inish play jobs faith (maybe jubilee?) they die and go to chamber

I'm not too worried about initiative, since False Teachers protects, and the only way they can get around that is a BTN Character or Enhancement, which will most likely give me initiative if I need it. But Crown of Thorns seems interesting for my CD's, I might just try it. I probably will take out the Jashar's and put in Abe's Servant. I may also want another copy of Abe's Descendant, just in case someone uses Set Fire on my D&A.

King Rehoboam and Job's Faith does sound mean. I might put one or two of him in there, but if they have a Wall of Protection, I have to use two of my own guys, and I have limited Heroes that could give Job init in a side battle.

:o I can't believe I forgot that! I'm definitely adding that one. I might also add the site remove soul, as that could definitely help as well. Thanks!

I added two more sites, took out one copy of Lampstand and one copy of Laver. I may add two more and take out a Birth Foretold and a Judas' Plot, I'd like to test it a few times to see if that's a good idea though.

I'd love to sometime, but I'll be really busy in the next couple of days. If I see you on next week though, we should play.

I'm not much of a T2 player, but I would try to work in 5x Job's Faith. That card wins me battles almost every time I use it in t1.

I actually did that already; I'll try to get an updated list of the deck soon.

It is a 100% proven undeniable proven factual information fact that is proven that Nazareth fails.

I actually liked the effect it had in our game. My deck does have some searching in it, but it is not central to my strategy. I rather like the fact that it ruins many of the strategies in other decks. I think I'll keep it.  :)

I'm not giving you an option. Take it out. Either you have to take Nazareth out of everyone's deck or I'll have to change my deck so 95% of my cards aren't 'search' anymore. Searching was my entire defense and 90% of my offense.

I switched offenses anyway and they can deal with it now. Benedictus (in case of that red site)+ T Blast. I'm just disappointed that I can only have one benedictus, so I might have to splash in some epic red or another way to negate sites.

(Red goes good with Teal anyway thanks to Trumpet and Sword, which I can also only have one of....)
