Idea I am toying with

What is one offense that is super strong but takes a while to get rolling? Some dominant strategies are not used because they take to long to get rolling i.e. White ignore/Witness to Creation. Most defenses can not hold out long enough or start slacking once the offense gets going. I was thinking sites/Burial Shrouds/Besieging the City. Playing 5 BtC's 3 Shroud's with sites can make it to where an offense can never really attack. Of course gold can hold its own without these cards so it might make a nasty defense. But If I used this defense and could use Witnesses to Creationx5 or some sort of other slow yet strong offense that is a guaranteed rescue, it might be a very competitive, fun deck.
There is many other offenses that can be used such as; Built on the Rock, Gathering of Angels, strategies with Training in Righteousness, placing enhs on heroes prior to battle, hand d/c and deck d/c, as well as converts/stonewall type offenses that kill all the EC's in territory, and Sowing the Seed. Those are a lot of different strategies that do not make it to the top table in tournaments usually because either it is played wrong or the defense can not hold up long enough for the combo to come out.
One more thought. Many people have created these combos but used search/draw cards in order to pull it out quicker. But if you're opponent it just sitting there due to B Shrouds and Besieging the City or lockout, you can just use cards for a combo and not filler cards that get out a smaller combo.
Let me know what you think and if I should playtest this or just leave it as an idea.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't try it out.
May you prosper greatly!

Just seeing if anyone already did and if the results were bad. But if nobody has ever really tried this out then I will go to town on it.

I think Kirk may have had something similar before.  I think he used a side battle offense with it.  Not sure if he used Burial Shroud or not.
May you prosper greatly!

You could use just a simple high-powered Silver/Purple offense with TSA's, Gatherings, Gabriels, ETs, King Davids, AOC promos. Doesn't require too many card slots and you're able to attack pretty quickly also.

last nats in type 2 I ran a choose the blocker offense that had Jacob/RTC as a backup plan; it made 9th place
with 3 burial shrouds set-aside strategies become viable, I'd give it a try, however if you can spare some room in the deck for a faster plan B, that would help the deck out a lot
disclamer - all comment only apply to type 2 unless otherwise noted

I've used site lockout with Burial Shrouds to set up combos on offense before, but not in the same deck as Besieging the City.
