why aren't they played much. I feel like they could have a lot of potential. Site guard a purple site. Three Gates. Massive Banding then a good splash with magicians. Why don't they see much play?

I see your point. I do not know why they arnt played as much. I guess because they dont have many battle winners? But still, demons could be awesome if played correctly.

There's not a lot of great battle winners. They do have a lot of great banding, and a lot of great EC's. I see them more as a support brigade.

There's not a lot of great battle winners.
That and the fact that there is no way to protect them in territory.

Characters don't have much? Trembling Demon, Wandering Spirit (other than banding), PoTW, KoT, 7WS, all have great abilities, besides banding.

7WS may be the best EC in the game. KoT and PotW pretty much were the gold standard (ok the gold and pale green standard) for splash defenses, and they are still way up there. Trembling Demon was Uzzah before Uzzah blew up.  And if you want to stop an Ambush deck nothing--and I mean absolutely nothing--tops Blinding Demon.

Lastly there is Que and his ability to play any card with Mist in the title CBN!  Do not diss Que.

Ambush deck
This was a great deck, but do you realize the last time this was played? It was for one tournament. Good "ole" Eric at his prime, Blinding Demon is only good for iniative, but Demon Behind the Idol is nice, and Evil Spawn, who I did not mention in first post.

You don't really have to protect them. Darius' Decree up and you're fine. Just make sure Wandering Spirit is in battle.  :P

Problem is that takes up an Artifact slot and sometimes that is a very big deal.

Not really. If the artifact, such as DD, can stop so much and help protect your defense, it is probably more efficient and crucial than 95% of the other possible artifacts you can activate.

I do heavy EC's compared to EE's, so I can hold 2-3 in my hand.

This is true. The following two quotes are indicative of how Orange is regarded up here.  I'm not sure why MJB thought it was okay to come out in defense of such an awful brigade in his later post though. I guess 7WS is okay because you can exchange it for a character from a brigade that might win a battle or two.

There's not a lot of great battle winners.

Here in MN, we once had to move a tournament outside because a judge thought that the light in the room it was being held was making the Crimson EC's appear a strange color. Turns out it was some guy from out of state who thought that Orange was allowed in MN. He'll never be at a tournament here again.

So, yeah, even though Demons may not be a bad T2 defense overall, you won't see any such decks at Nats, considering the statewide ban.

Ambush deck
This was a great deck, but do you realize the last time this was played?
Would Blinding Demon stop an Ambush deck cold or not?  Yes or no?  It is a simple question, Mr. H.

You don't really have to protect them. Darius' Decree up and you're fine. Just make sure Wandering Spirit is in battle.  :P
And then in comes Thaddeus and you can't band and your Wandering Spirit is sad faced. So I am less than satisfied with that. Also, the inability to protect in territory limits your offensive options--especially if you want to play purple.

If the artifact, such as DD, can stop so much and help protect your defense, it is probably more efficient and crucial than 95% of the other possible artifacts you can activate.
True that.  Double true.

Site Guard on purple site is really all you need.
That's the kind of thinking that leads players to add a copy of Stan's Seat to their deck as their only Thaddeus counter.

So, yeah, even though Demons may not be a bad T2 defense overall, you won't see any such decks at Nats, considering the statewide ban.
I heard that the MN State Patrol will be setting up rolling roadblocks and doing random car searches this August  to try an interdict contraband Orange Brigade cards as the cross the border.

Do not diss Que.
And you can't even rescue him if your opponent captures him...
There is a massive people-powered movement to right that injustice.  Fight the power!

It would stop an ambush deck cold even today.

SWS is great for grabbing all the Phars at the table. That makes it the best Evil Character ever. Especially if you band Gomer to SWS.

Orange is a support brigade in T2. It's useful, but it can't stand on it's own.

Ha!  Blinding Demon didn't even exist five years ago. Ah ha!

But why stick to Orange brigade? Everyone know that if you want to make a demon defense really sing you need to add in Panic Demons!
