T2 Deck of the Day: Clay-BoM 3/14/18

This is a new deck I recently built. Inspired by a post-CoW T2 deck that Xonathan built as well as the Colossae-Crimson T1 deck that kariusvega used that season. A less refined version of this deck was used at the T2 Only by a player who was new to T2, and he did okay with it--especially considering it was not "fully loaded" with things like TSC, Woes and Covenant of Prayer. I've now used it in a couple of online games, and it is definitely a fun deck to play.  8)

Needs Jude + Philetus (5/6 Brown starter deck version)   :P

(Yes, Xonathan, I am using this thread as an opportunity to point out that I recommended you add that Philetus to your T2 deck at Nats 2016, and you did, and you pulled off the combo in a game...)

It might be worth testing, but I'm not a fan of having such a useless EC if I need to block with him out of necessity. With no ability, not OT for Wickedness or Stiff-Necked, he'd be pretty terrible. Then if I lose him, Jude doesn't really do much. Also, Jude could potentially mess with my missionaries that I want to be Colossae since he would be a second Jerusalem Hero with Peter.

Sorry, should have included some smiley faces to imply sarcasm   ;)   I was half-joking when I suggested it to Xonathan, and I was full-joking when I suggested it here   :P

After giving this a little more thought, I realized that the new Philetus could potentially fit because I'm running Faith of Joseph, which conveniently would protect my own discard pile from Philetus' ability if I were to choose him... ::)

Perhaps I add Philetus and run Jude in the Reserve as an emergency plan...

That combo worked a couple times at nats. Plus the look on peoples faces when a no special ability old starter deck card came out was priceless. Gotta give a shout out to John Earley (RedDragonThorn) for the original deck idea. He offhand mentioned in an LoR article when Cloud came out that you could try a deck with clay heroes and judges and I ran with it. Too bad i didn't run it at nats. probably would have done a little better that year.
