Crud.

I heard second hand about the existence of this deck (just that you had a killer T2 hand control deck) and was trying to design my own. Now that I have seen the deck list building one for competition along the same lines would be cheating.

Maybe next time you should add a spoiler alert.

Yea, figured Id post it for everyone. Maybe get some advice on it and throw some people off for upcoming tournies. If some of you out there would like to test this deck out and post some results that would be great. Maybe we can ghet Fearfulness errata'ed next

BTW- still needs benedictus and a way to recur it.

Most T2 players do. I have seen several Disciple decks that include both Thomas and Bartholomew from Apostles just so they can use Abe's Descendant.

I really think you need to consider adding Don, becasue if they have a nazereth your captured arks are useless. Nazereth plus+ DD will really cripple the offense. ~~Also why don't you have the FTBN soul? If they have pigs that would really hurt you.~~. You want to use hand control souls.. you could always consider I am salvation, but I am not sure it is worth it.

Maybe Casting Lots would be a good solution to artifact problems. Hand discard or kill a face down artifact. Don't know wha you would take out though.

He knows he's gotta hurt artifacts me and Clift went over this, it's just a matter of what to take out for it. What really kills him is the non-draw lost soul. I Am Salvation for one I Am Creator might have to go in. And to answer your question of has he tried the deck out and does it work. Yes.

Indeed...though the game was essentially decided when he drew his House of Rimmon before I drew my evil protect Fort, (and at that point, we were drawing/searching at the same rate) which allowed him to drop an AoC and wipe out my defense without wiping out his. I honestly don't think he breaks through if I had drawn my protect Fort.

nope. if i have to, i will just shove them at you 1 claudia, 1 et...at a time. My defense contains King Hazael which can hit most OT Forts so all OT protect forts in play, but I have only 1 in deck (should I add more?) and he works when converted i think...man looking at this, i can see what he's swinging down and destroying them over and over i might add...He's yelling ARTIFACTS!!!. The more I look at this guy the more i like him. He's one of the reasons why I wanted to call this deck- SYRIAN VICTORY! I need a grail in this deck just to convert this guy and what does he bring with him into the hearts of all men? Fearfulness. This is the new Sin in the Camp with the help of Abe's Kid and Gogo. Fearfulness is actually restricting the type of targets opponent has to choose from to place under deck and with only one SitC allowed in a territory now- i wonder why I didnt add this tech to the deck sooner.

Not so sure about that. The requirement to discard a gray enhancement makes that an evil-only ability, doesn't it?

You're getting stuck in the "old way", Matt.

A few years ago, when I was still a young whipper snapper at Redemption, they changed the rules for conversion. If a Hero becomes evil, the abilities no longer convert - at all. Ever.

Evil Characters convert as long as the ability does not directly harm a Hero.

Since the discard of a gray evil enhancement doesn't harm a Hero, I don't see why King Hazael wouldn't be awesome if converted. This makes me want to go build a purple royalty deck with TToD!

Sorry, forgot a bit of deck advice above...

Since you have so much banding running around on the defensive side of the game, you may want to swap out the two Spirit of Temptation for two copies of 7WS. You do lose two banding hand-discard characters (which I understand you are not going to be crazy about), but you gain quite a bit. With all the other banding you have, once 7WS is out your opponent has to decide if they want to take a chance putting down their defenders knowing you can always choose to use them against them. This works especially well against big banding defenses with lots of archers.

Not when he is putting your number enhancements under your deck, your heroes under your deck, or any number of other things that he can take away from you. Plus he plays the grey card outside of battle with highplaces and he can recur them with golgotha and abe's kid( which is sweet)!

Still all you need to defeat any of his ECs are TSA and one enhancement, unless he wants to play multiple copies of Namaan's Horsies on one character.

Have you played this against anyone who used a Big Angels deck? How did Syrian Victory! fare in that matchup?

And since "harm" is defined as any affect from a different alignment--no converted abilities will *ever* "directly harm a Hero." Now I see where you are heading with this.
