Title: Attention experts on Grey Emperors
Post by: Carl deuty on March 25, 2011, 09:18:04 PM
Alright, do you all put Rome into your decks? Do you all have any ways to use Romans destroy Jerusalem multiple times?
Also, if I am using provisions, should I throw in some lame grey characters instead of  using up my emps?

you won't use up your emps if you ignore or shuffle them...

also, I recommend using golgotha for recursion.... there are other ways though ::)

any specifics on reusing romans destroy jerusalem? Also, on another note, do you all think that satan's seat will see more play this year because of thad?

Yes, but not too much because he's really the ONLY thing worth putting a Seat in a deck as a counter for.....

And even then Stan's Chair isn't even the best counter to 'Thad-Rad the Mad'

Alright, do you all put Rome into your decks?

Yes, I put Rome in all of my roman decks

Do you all have any ways to use Romans destroy Jerusalem multiple times?

Yes, but I don't use it.

Also, if I am using provisions, should I throw in some lame grey characters instead of  using up my emps?

Yes, I would suggest, especially when roman has limited evil characters.

Thanks.

ML.

Both Pride of Simon and Imitating Evil will allow you to recur RDJ. That is assuming you use Rome. However, my limited experience with Romans has convinced me that if you get to use it once, you usually don't need to use it again. But just a thought.

I have only found that to be the case in T1.... in type 2 I feel as though Thad isn't alone ;)

Might need to use it a couple times for this scenario :)
(I wouldn't think more than 2x though, especially if the person playing Thad is smart)

Ive used Emps exclusively lately and i recur it with golgotha+abe's decendant and like Prof A said usually once is enough. One character i play it on is Roman Jailer b/c he can be recurred with marketplace and i run palegreen with forgotten history as well as heavy taxes and both 2khorsies and namaan chariots with messenger of satan and DoU for more recursion of something off of golgotha.

No, No, Yes (generic pharisees work quite well and they let you play just a hireling)

clift, you the man. You been running emps to defend against the invasion of disciples? Not sure, but I don't think anyone up here in KTOWN would run them except maybe Dotty.

no i have been trying to run a hand control deck with job in type 1. it isnt geared to play agaiinst disciples and loses more than it wins but the idea is get to thier hand down and rome gives my emps first strike and hand control lets job walk in. cons:large bands on both offence and defense as well as speed. Hey RTSManiac, are you also playing emperors in T2?  Not asking for a deck list or anything--I am just curious.

working on turning the type 1 deck into a type 2 if you would like to help with a decklist. I would love x5 words of discouragement and x5 fearfulness with high places. maybe casting lots with pigs ls as well...Ill move post to get help.
