Hi everybody,

what's your opinion: If you have one slot left and you could choose from the above mentioned 3 - which would you prefer?
Devourer helps you get rid of a lot of enhancements - the ones in battle and the ones in territories. Unfortunately including yours.
Babel may give you a strong army including opponent's ECs (if there is no wall or similar) - also maybe allowing for playing enhancements of brigades where you do not have ECs in place right now.
And Spear - well might win you a battle directly.

So what's your favourite? Or would it depend on the ECs in deck and decks concept? In my case it is multicolor - also in defense having only 2 black ECs: Goliath (Promo) and Philistine Garrison.

Babel would usually be my choice in a black defense, because of its huge potential for winning the battle while activating a bunch of character abilities (including your opponents', in the right circumstances). However, Goliath will negate it, and Philistine Garrison ideally won't need a battle winner (and would be better served by a negate). So in this case I'd go with Spear over Devourer. It is a bit more flexible, as a weapon (so it can negate a good Enhancement when you play it and stay on the character for future battles where it can negate a Hero or pre-battle enhancement). Devourer is nice in that in can get a bunch of enhancements, but in most cases, the effect is the same as Spear, with the exception that you cant keep it on the character.

I run all three--Lahmi's Spear, Ish Spear and Ish Sword--in my philistine deck. The weapons have battle winning and negating potential (with Ish Sword), and you can place them your WC EC in the event you have to discard down to 8 cards or less during DC phase. And if they were already placed when you enter battle, they give you the chance to end the battle straight away since you'll probably have to pass intiative to your opponent since philistine WC ECs typically have high numbers.

I'd go with the kings devourer. I always throw in an extra negate if i can.

Maybe Devourer will be the best choice since both of my ECs have really high numbers and will most often not get ini.
So far in addition I also have Lahmi's Spear and Wickedness of Delilah included. Or would be Ishbibenob’s Sword better than Devourer in orde to deactivate triggered Hero-abilities?
Ishbibenob’s Spear and Lahmi's Spear can only help Phil. Garrison or when directly played on Goliath after he finished his ability and a new hero was presented. For Garrison they may provided the necessary lonesome hero when hero-banding happened before.

This is certainly right but just trying another idea of defense, not yet knowing how well or worse it might work out - but it makes fun.
Well Saph is maybe worth another thinking for me too (Delilah does not really fit - all other I do not have in my card pool so I will not use them yet). Unfortunately changing my decks always tend to make them bigger until they are useless since I cannot really separate from already chosen cards since I consider them "indispensable"  - well most of them.

How do you guys exchange cards - cutting out some for others when you do not know which are the best ones to cut out?

Yep, this seems to be the only way to go. Just had the chance to play 2 games using this deck yet.
