What are the best choices for a balanced 50-57 Card Deck?
There are so many choices now.
What lost souls are you guys running?
After having some time to test them out, which of the lost souls from the new set are you using?
Do any of you run the Hopper still?
So many lost soul questions!

In most decks i run:
Dull
Awake
Imitate
Humble
Exchanger (or whatever it's actually called)
Cbp
That one soul that reveals the top 6 of a deck, i can never remember the name.
I would probably take out exchanger or the Top 6 soul for an escape, i just haven't made an effort to get one yet. i'll probably use buy one eventually.
Other souls i have used that i really like:
Forsaken
Open hand
Female only
The fool
I don't use hopper in any of my decks, just because there are so many ways an opponent can pull it out of your deck, which makes it really had to pull off imo, and it's basically an eighth soul in your deck in most cases.

I would like to know myself...i agree there a lot.
-
The ones I see the most are:
Imitate
Lawless
Dull
Darkness
After that, it's mainly personal preference.
-
Humble, because it works under Moses (CoW)
Imitate with Open Hand is fun. In essence, with both out at the same time, you get to look at your opponent's hand each turn.

Imitate, Lawless, Dull and Exchanger have been the core four LS I've used recently. The rest usually depend on the deck build but are some combination of these:
CBP LS
Crowds LS
Gain LS
Forsaken LS
Open Hand LS
Humble LS
Awake LS
Punisher LS
Escape LS
I have not used Hopper much because of my tendency to use things like Lawless and The Ends of the Earth on myself to gain card advantage.

Could someone explain why the darkness lost soul is thought of as being so good? It seems pretty combo-ish to me – you have to get it right when you have no evil characters in your territory, which typically is just at the beginning of the game. The imitate soul definitely helps, but it still doesn't seem to be very reliable to trigger in a game.

so i hate to burst the darkness bubble but, it's an ot soul you can't imitate it and what's worse is that it has a clause of "when drawn" which means you can't even use it if you reveal it with lawless, search it with awake, or if it is drawn off your opponent's force draw abilities because apparently that is being put into play by game rule (kinda bogus but sure)
imitate and humble should be in just about every deck and currently they are affordable
the reason i'd recommend the threelionsgaming.com souls pack to begin with is because for the price of 1 Awake soul you are getting all of the souls and doms you need to build an entry level competitive deck

Darkness can be very strong depending on how you construct your defense. If you go a bit lighter on defense (4-6 main deck ECs then it's much more likely you won't have any in play when you draw it. It's also an awesome LS to draw in your opening hand.
With that in mind, if you have a larger defense 8-10 ECs, then it's not going to trigger as often.

Rest assured that O.T. Lost Souls will get some support in future sets down the road. 8)

In every deck, I run Imitate, Lawless and Dull.

oh right I forgot about that! Thanks for pointing that out
Also another LS I like is the Destruction LS. Before RoJ it was consistently able to take out a number of opponent's enhancements (able to be used at least twice with site shenanigans). Although with RoJ it's weakened by Seven Lamps of Fire and the Imitate LS, which lets your opponent use it against you.
