Defense in a Sam deck? Interesting. Needs ASP. Mustering for War is great too. Have you found Canaan useful? I never seemed to use it when I played Canaanites.

I've never used the second part of Canaan's ability but the first part helped me a TGT deck. He couldn't grail my character to get rid of one of my two so I could still block. I do not know what ASP stands for :P, and I will consider mustering for war but 2 turns is an awful long time when everyone plays speed.

ASP=A Soldiers Prayer. Can pull out Bravery or Foreign Sword & then recur them.

Foreign Sword is fluffly. The way I personally play Red/Purple is with an emphasis on Ahimelek, and Battle Cry and Kingdom United are just great cards anyway. I never use Uriah either, and I actually don't even use AoCP in most of my Red/Purple builds. Schechem and Fortify Site don't seem that great, and I'd find room for Wrath. Wrath can be a nail in the coffin for any main deck, especially if played against a bullet-proof Gideon.

Do you find that defense to be more useful than the standard meta defense, extra size accounted for?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I definitely disagree that Foreign Sword is fluff. It forces your opponent to move through their deck faster, allows access to the Female Only, First Round, and NT Lost Souls if you need access, puts a site on top if you need access, gets rid of ECs like Uzzah and A Slave who can help your opponent stall, and can take out a Writ, Charms, or any other number of harmful artifacts for a turn.

He said it was fluff, and I said I disagree. I am confused.

The problem here is my inability to differentiate between the words agree and disagree at 2 am.

Ah, that explains it then.
