I've been slowly putting together a "Solomon's Temple" deck in my free time the last couple days... but there are so many directions to go with it. I'd like to run Teal/Purple/Brown but would also like it to be moderately competitive, lol... I've not yet seen a submission for a deck based on our new tin. I'll post a rough sketch soon. Here are some different directions I could go:

Offense
#1 - I could do primarily Teal, S-Temple priests plus Phineas and other staple splash characters... Maybe small Purple Support (Gotta have Solomon!)
#2 - I could do primarily Purple Judah, with Kings like Hezekiah and Jehoshaphat who make big "insteadable" bands...
#3 - Some crazy combos with the 2 enhancement placing Priests (both S-Temple Priests too!)

Defense
#1 - Having Amaziah in the offense, I'd be tempted to create a 50/50 Judah/Israel defense... Gates of Samaria could be searched out by Solomon, Ahab, or Hiram... and the fortress would make up for the lack of CBN battle winners in brown.
#2 - To capitalize on "draw" ability of Gates of Jerualem, I could go solid Kings of Judah, and use Korah with Scorn of Michal,Seige and or Lurking to CBN band/draw. I've run this defense in T2 with 5 Foul Spirits... it was fun :)
#3 - Mix Kings of Judah with Magicians. Manasseh, User and King Ahaz can cross brigades, charms in territory allows me to get the draw off a King of Judah block, then capture off charms. Lots of Synergy.

What's some stuff you've tried or seen? What combos or cards would you recommend including?

You can also go black with King Ammon, Manasseh with Phillies. Outpost what you want to recur with Ammon or throw Manny in the discard pile from deck. You want teal cards to discard Solomons Temple. Recursion can be good but not needed on offense.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

I don't like the half/half Judah/Israel split, because in order for either Gates to be terribly effective, it requires a fair amount of the specified kings. At that point, your defense is bog, and with little room for non-royalty lime Uzzah and Gomer that should be used to block K.David.

I'd stick with Judah for S.T, and let solomon fetch Gates. Rehoboam+Strife is a great combo, and while I haven't been able to use it myself, Amon+Philosophy is a nice way to recur a teal card to save him. The placers are awesome. One combo I like is to place Jehioadas Strength on Amariah (CBI enh Priest) and band to Moses (you can add him, or you can just expect your opponent to have him). His Name is John is a nice underrated card.

At present I have Jehoida's Strength/United Kingdom and Peace Treaty in my deck, so band and ignore could be pretty fun with the right timing.

Agreed, that would be killer on Seraiah (1/1)! It will definitely go in the deck.

Dude that's sweet! I haven't used strife in a non-starter deck yet, might as well be in this one!
