I like single brigade decks.  You can always combine any enh with any character and that means less waiting for the right combination.  Therefore, I would take out the 2 silver characters and 2 silver enhs.  That frees up 4 cards that I think could be better spent on other things.

Captured Ark is really helpful for getting rid of arts that really mess you up (G-Cow, CoM)
Harvest Time is really helpful for providing a LS to rescue when none exists (opponent shuffles them, or buries, or takes with SoG)
Guardian of Your Souls seems like it would only work 50% of the time, but it is in all the top decks at Nats each year

Spot 4 could be taken out along with Rebekah, Book of Jashar, 1 EC and 2 EEs.  That would get you down to a 56 card deck which would be stronger.

I think if I were you, I would make this deck either completely hand d/c or completely deck d/c. Personally, I think hand d/c is better, since it gets rid of things that your opponent may have otherwise used. However, deck d/c could be really fun with some more silver.

If I were you, since you've already abandoned Zebulun for Gabriel, I would definitely put in a CotH. A Protection of Angels might not be a bad idea while you're at it. I would take out Book of Jashar and Jubilee for those.

Defensewise, I would take out Egyptian Horsemen, King Elah, Besieging the City, Failed Objective, and one more possibly offensive card - for Jannes, King Shishak, Enslaved by Egypt, Pharaoh's Throne Room, and an Egypt site.

One of the best hand discarder cards is I Am Holy. If you're going for a hand discarder theme, then this card would be a great addition.

Ah, Captured Ark is a great idea. I'll try to work that in. However, after Tim managed to take Nationals without Harvest Time or GoYS, I'm feeling a little vindicated in my quest to only use three good dominants in my decks. ;)

Hmm, normally I'm inclined to agree with you; I like single brigade decks and every deck I've ever played other than this one is 56 or smaller. In fact, this deck was a 56 carder for a long time, and only recently have I bumped it up to 63 because the defense felt a little shaky. I don't like big decks, and I'm thinking about going back to 56, but I feel like I should give 63 a try for a little while before I give up on it. If I do drop back down to 56, I think your suggestions are probably the best way to do it, so I'll keep them in mind. Thanks! :)

Yeah, the deck originally was Egyptians and Angels for solid deck discard, but I wanted to see how effective combining the two could be. So far I've been enjoying it quite a bit. You're probably right that a concentrated strategy is better, but I'd like to try out the mix a little more before thinking about switching back.

I love the idea of adding Captain, but I'd be worried about matching up brigades if I add too many more silver enhancements. I need Elah for Obedience of Noah and as a non-Egyptian character in case someone uses Journey to Egypt. Pulling Besieging the City is probably a good idea, but I'm a little fond of it, so I'll have to think about that one a little. King Shishak and PTR are definitely great ideas, thanks. :)

Ooh, interesting. I might try that out, especially since I can usually get things I discard back with Asher.

I think I might have to take out one of the silver enhancements to fit in Prof's suggestion of Captured Ark. Should it be Striking Herod or Wickedness Removed? Striking Herod is nice as a surprise play since most people expect that Gabriel is just in there as a splash, and it allows Gabriel to be used more than once instead of discarding and then getting killed off. However, Wickedness Removed has been extremely useful to me though, since it has the potential to (and often does) discard at least three vital cards from an opponent's defense (I've even had it discard four evil cards and pull up a Lost Soul for me twice in my time playing with it).

Thoughts?

I'd take out Gabriel for Captured Ark. Also, with such few ls generators, burial shroud would work miracles, it allows you to stall to get defense and lets you still make bc's with Asher and Angel at Shur, which they will likely decline. It's a great card. I'd take out striking herod for that.

I always thought that Burial Shroud prevented both rescue attempts and battle challenges... am I wrong?

1. Burial Shroud allows you to make BC, but not RA.
2. Burial Shroud does not allow your opponent to do either.
3. Burial Shroud may only be used twice.

Burial Shroud
Type: Artifact • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Holder may not make a rescue attempt or be attacked. May be used twice. • Play As: Prevent holder from making a rescue attempt. Protect holder from being attacked. May be used twice. • Identifiers: None • Verse: John 20:4-5 • Availability: Apostles booster packs (Ultra Rare)

It's nice to have Simeon work quickly, and in the event that one of them gets captured or removed or something, the other's still available for Simeon to work his magic. I'm also fond of sacrificing one of them to Unholy Writ or Go Into Captivity when I don't have any other ways to get around them, because it doesn't hurt my offense too much to lose one and then I get to discard their territory with Levi. They're also nice to snag the Female-Only LS.

1. Burial Shroud allows you to make BC, but not RA.
2. Burial Shroud does not allow your opponent to do either.
3. Burial Shroud may only be used twice.
It should be pointed out though that you can't attack with a hero while there are LSs available in your opponent's LoB and call it a BC while Burial Shroud is up.  You can only make a BC if you have no available LSs to go after.

If you put a character out there, you have pretty much no choice whether you're making a BC or a RA; it's a simple matter of whether you have access to any lost souls or not. I agree with Prof.
