Hi there,

since I like O.T. themes I tried to build a deck around one (well somehow). While not entirely focussing on the biblical context I tried to create something deck discard related (not to its fullest extend) and own rescues without opponents souls by getting Moses into territory by Shiprah and equipping him with Faith of Enoch in order to penetrate opponent to discard him for a rescue. Similar for Prisoner. He shell go to opponent's LoB in order to be rescued by Lamb's R. later on.

It is fun to play but unfortunately deck is still quite slow. So your ideas, opinions, hints, tips and thoughts are highly welcome!  :)

Any chance to get something like this a little bit more competitive?

So here we go:

Support Cards:
Book of the Covenant (PoC)
Hezekiah's Signet Ring
House of Prayer
Pithom
Given Over to Egypt

DACs:
Prisoner at Gaza
Pharaoh's Daughter (FoM)

The Shunammite Woman
Shiphrah
Hur (PoC)

GEs:

Plague of Blood (PoC)
"I AM" Has Sent Me

ECs
Queen Tahpenes
Taskmaster (FoM)
The Hard Hearted Pharaoh (CoW)
The Murdering Pharaoh
Egyptian Magicians
Egyptian Wise Men (FoM)
Potiphar's Wife (PoC)

EEs:
Egyptian Horses
Evicted
Reclaimed by Egypt
Ruthless
Turn to Egypt
Swift Horses (D)
Abandonment (EC)

Dominants:
Grapes of Wrath
The Second Coming
Three Woes (RoJ)

Adding the Genesis Egyptians (Magicians, Cupbearer, Dreaming Pharoah) will help with the speed. Musical stuff (Miriam, Music Leaders, Hannah) would help as well.

Why are Jephthah and Jacob (Israel) in reserve?

Thanks for your hints: Any suggestion what to cut for them?

Jepth is in for Prisoner in order to reduce defense from territory. Jacob is in since hand and deck seem to be increasing targets these days.  :)

I wish I had spoiled The Exodus, Moses’ Staff, Passover, Pharaoh’s Servants, Grain Tenders and Summoned to Interpret. Those could all work so well in this deck! I’ll try to get a spoiler article sent to LoR ASAP.

Well, it seems my idea of adding Jephthah's Daughter for some White/Gold, musician, add Jephthah from deck, discard or Reserve and choose a human in opponents territory to block him might be a little underwhelming in consideration of the above to be spoiled options.   :o

In a previous version of my Musicians deck I had exactly this also in: Jepths daughter, him in reserve. But both did not make it into current version.

Ok, copied over my post from here:

Honestly I do not see the deck DC option as a valid one anymore due to too much protection around getting its coronation by the new storehouse. So maybe other Egyptians might fit better now in defense (which would make a nearly "pure" exodus theme a harder task then).
For the drawing Egyptians I might have a look again - so far I could "only" find some drawing you one card when pushed into battle while not having so much synergies with better characters (in terms of SA).

Deck discard is stronger than its ever been. You do need to include counters to deck protection though.

Keep in mind that Pithom not only has a deck d/c ability, but also the ability to underdeck good cards from an opponent's territory, which would include Storehouse.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for all your hints!

Any idea on how to combine them with CoW Moses? For the GEs Prophetess can help out - but what about regarding these cool TC class ECs? How keep them and even better also these GEs active and usable all the time with that good old guy around (would like to keep him in deck)?

Resurrecting this one: Latest with LoC IMO deck DCing is not a good option anymore since I do not see any potential to get a defense set up supporting this concept while still be able to withstand all these overwhelming battle winning SAs on Heroes, GEs + supporting cards which came already with PoC but now even more with LoC!

Those Egyptians who wreck decks cannot stand against all this IMO. What do you think?

And in addition: Regarding what was mentioned as spoilers back then - how best integrate Passover, Pharaoh’s Servants, Grain Tenders with CoW Moses around? Latest if he goes into battle or will return from it they get deactivated. Is there a way around it?

Storehouse is a MUST for this deck. You get the protection AND you can get stuff from your Reserve that you will most likely need later. I actually run an Exodus deck, but I actually have Moses in Reserve to use later for game win after I get him with Daughter. Hur, Hannah, Moses' Parents, Shiphrah, Shunamite woman, Daughter, Destroyer, Indentured Servant, and Aaron are the heroes. I have Moses in reserve because if I get him out too early he will negate all my stuff. I use him as end game. As long as I can get these heroes out fast he is not needed until the end. Manna is a must for your support. You topdeck it to get opponent to dc a card from deck...and you can do it every upkeep! Honestly, as long as you can keep dcing opponent's cards, speed can be slow....lol. Sun worship is good to have in your defense. Slows oppenent down drasticly. Every time they draw or search you get to dc the top cards equal to what was searched/drawn from deck. Rameses is good for support to help with deck discard as well. I would also play as many plagues as you can. And now with the new LoC there have been some good additions to those said cards.

Thank you. Yes, with LoC I also recognised that there will be some good support for this deck (and not only for this one  ;)).

Any suggestions regarding defense? Since defense is a Achilles' heel in this deck (maybe next to not always be able to win battles). Also not getting opponent's Storehouse negated or disposed quick enough will make your live harder.

I noticed Manna was already suggested but I have to double that, I was shocked that Manna wasn't already included, it's such a good card. D1, d/c bottom of opponent's so it's a net gain 2 plus you topdeck it. With Delivered, I know it's an Isaiah card but so is House of Prayer ;) so I would 100% add this card. You get another d/c from opponent's deck, but their topcard which is very nice with so many new * cards adding topdeck from reserve. Once you play Delivered you can immediately snag Manna again or any curse to block or YWR, or anything you need, it's such a strong card. Just hitting Manna 2 times a game plus one Delivered is a net gain of 5, d/c 3 of theirs and draw 2 of yours. And it's all outside of battle and for no cost to you.

Any chance to get something like this a little bit more competitive?

So here we go:

Support Cards:
Book of the Covenant (PoC)
Hezekiah's Signet Ring Manna (Must for deck dc)
House of Prayer Storehouse (I would rather the deck and hand protection here)
Pithom
Given Over to Egypt
Egypt (I play this for another deck discard with deck discard LS. Plus you can get your Exodus/Genesis forts out...i.e. Storehouse and Pithom, or you EC's).

DACs:
Prisoner at Gaza Slaves in Egypt (Keeps to the Exodus theme)
Pharaoh's Daughter (FoM)

Heroes:
Moses' Parents
The Shunammite Woman
Shiphrah
Hur (PoC)
Moses (CoW) in reserve
Indentured Servant
Aaron (Di)
The Destroyer (PoC)

GEs:
Faith of Moses Parents
Death of Firstborn (PoC) Plague of Darkness
Faith Plague of Locusts (Another deck dc plus play another enhance. CBP)
Faith of Moses
Words of Encouragement (Ki)
Cymbals of the Levites Love Righteousness (Helps to get your white Heroes out quicker)
Plague of Blood (PoC)
"I AM" Has Sent Me

ECs
Queen Tahpenes The Outcasts (It's better and slows opponent down and gives them hand clog which forces them to put characters down to trigger the dc from TO)
Taskmaster (FoM)
The Hard Hearted Pharaoh (CoW)
The Murdering Pharaoh Egyptian Army (It's just better)
Egyptian Magicians
Egyptian Wise Men (FoM) Jambres (FoM) (You can reveal bottom and take if it's an Exodus card. More than likely it will be....:))
Potiphar's Wife (PoC) The Deceiver (I run this to get an EC from Reserve. And I think it's a bit better than PW anyway)

EEs:
Egyptian Horses
Evicted
Reclaimed by Egypt No Straw! (Just because....it's better and grants CBN. Battle winner!)
Ruthless Wonders Forgotten (Better and battle winner or stalemate to deny soul gain)
Turn to Egypt
Swift Horses (D) Beheaded (Quick deck dc...plus you have enough with horses)
Abandonment (EC) The Wages of Sin (FoM) (Easy way to get all your deck discard stuff and play on deceiver)

Dominants:
Grapes of Wrath I would replace with Shipwreck. I think it's better with all the Fort placements you will face.
The Second Coming
Three Woes (RoJ)
Christian Martyr (J)
Falling Away (CoW)
Angel of the Lord (J)
Son of God (J)

Lost Souls:
Lost Soul (Gain) Replace with Exiles
Lost Soul (Darkness)
Lost Soul (Dull) I would change out with Deck DC to place in egypt.
Lost Soul (Imitate) I would use Humble to make everything CBP
Lost Soul (Lawless)
Lost Soul (Vindicated)
Lost Soul (Wicked)
Lost Soul (Hopper) (I would play with the Hopper for an added soul gen)

Reserve:
You Will Remain
Unknown Nation (PoC) Magic Charms
Foreign Wives
Faith of Enoch Plague of Blood
Covenant with Moses (PoC)
Jacob (Israel) (CoW) Outsiders (Just cause it's better)
Lamb's Righteousness (RoJ) Sin and Justice (Because it's sooooo good)
Wonders Forgotten The Exodus (Great game winner with all the deck Dcing going on)
Faith of Samuel Sun Worship (territory class deck dc to opponent who draws and/or searches)
Jephthah (J) Moses (wait til end game to get him)

Bye

Here's my suggestions....but they are only suggestions! HOpe it helps! Blessings!

This leaves you with one card to add to get to 50. Maybe a white enhance like Kinsman Agreement or Hate wickedness for EC banishment?
