The Excorcist

I put this deck together on a lark, but it's been performing surprisingly well. Shut down a TGT/Speed deck today with little effort (and a CM wasted on my own Hero to stop a Confusion+Desecrate the Temple on a first-turn Astrologers). I'm not 100% happy with the offense, but it works and is small enough to accommodate the large defense. I'd like to include DBI for Worshiping Demons lockout and more Torments, and Holy of Holies would be nice for a TD lock, but I'm cramped for room as is. Pentecost and First Fruits would also be nice, but I can live without them. I'd also really like Jerusalem Tower to fix the final chink in my armor.

I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I can see the offense working against standalone defenses, but how do you expect to beat larger defenses?  I would include some kind of end game strategy.

What would you suggest for the offense to make it better against non-standard defenses? Usually I've found that sheer numbers will get the job done in endgame every time.

It seems solid but I can't see it beating Philistines. You can't beat a Garrison more than a couple of time, and they'll have plenty of negates, dominants, artifacts, and other things to stop you once you play your battle winners.

I do have two natural bands. The only way I can see Philistines being troublesome is if they're running Flee from Enemies (a card I've not seen used since I was the only one using it soon after TxP came out).

Destruction on Chariot would shut you down though. So would a Joseph in Prison.

Household Idols and Golden Calf and a late game CoM after you have used dominants at one or two enhancements will beat you as well.  I know you have LuG and DoN, but you could consider dropping another artifact for Captured Ark.  I would recommend recursion with placers or use Passover & Unleavened Bread.  The addition of just P&UB might be enough to give you the edge against a larger number of decks now.  I can let you test against a large defense if you would like online.

The defense does fine against FbtN, actually. Thanks for the input, this deck is in the shop for a major overhaul.
