TGT/A-bom Speedy Deck

Well, this started with an attempt to combine White and Gold for Susanna and 'He Is Risen' purposes. I then realized that A-bom would go very well with this as a relatively reliable way to get rid of protect forts (and everything else), so I threw that and ET + AoCP in. Next I found that Hur would go well with this for forced drawing, so I stuck him, Joanna, Provisions, and Gifts in, and then realized that with the colors and combos I already had, speed was imminent, so I tailored it mainly to that.

Now, the more I examine this deck, the more I love how all the strategies fit together: the massive territory destruction and multiple ways to put Lost Souls in my opponent's territory, combined with TGT so that my opponent will hardly ever be able to block. Not to mention, it is quite fast. However, I'd like to get it down to 50, or as close as possible. See what you think of the current version:

for starters.

The one potential problem with that is that Winged Leopard adds another brigade in play for TGT purposes. Though I would definitely try out TWL for awhile see if it presents much of a problem. If you do use the Leopard, it might also be fun to try Wings of Calamity: A) because no one uses it B) because CBN banding with TWL and Antiochus would be tiggity, as would CBN immunity vs. white and C) because you already have HP anyway.

I like the theory, but this deck is too fragile. I can't picture it being able to survive if it ever encounters a lost soul flood. You have no defense. Uzzah is a one, if your super lucky two, stall block. Antiochus is just large numbers. His ability will be negated against any non-Captain band deck (probably), and the Abomination strategy you have slows the game down by forcing you to do some discarding before you attack how you want to attack (TGT).

In response to the Winged Leopard argument, the reason I chose Philosophers was as a backup for Provisions. Obviously, my main choice of blocker would be Sabbath Breaker if Abom is out, but I'm sure it won't always work out that way. (Leopard also added an extra brigade.)

In response to Alex, I do realize now how flimsy the defense is compared to the speed of the offense. I guess I kind of figured I would be able to bomb their offense with my offense via Abom, especially since they probably won't have many heroes in their hand due to the forced drawing. Should I add Trembling Demon? Or perhaps a little PG with Women as Sanres and Confusion of Mind to get rid of their SoG and buy me some time? Or maybe something more substantial?

But...Wings of Calamity??? (fine, I'll stop. I just really wish that card could be useful somehow).

Whoah, I totally missed that! It makes my opponent draw, too! Dur, that was in my original plan, but I forgot to put it in. I'll be sure to do that next time I update.

Unfortunately, TGT is still the most powerful brigade. Hopefully, it will get hurt some in the next set (or at least the TGT part will).

Actually, it's not. Because TGT techically isn't a brigade. And it really isn't even that good. It's territory destruction that is that good.

I meant theme, not brigade. :P And it's true, TGT by itself is actually not that OP. However, it is almost always paired with territory destruction, which is what makes it so powerful. I mean, it's the perfect combo: kill everyone in play, and then ignore everyone else.

You have a one card defense with Abom as the main weapon? All you need to do is have a Tin 1 Foof soul come out and your screwed. You either need to bump the deck up to 63 which shouldnt be a problem since it is speed or chuck the greeks for FBTN characters.

Feast of Trumpets is also absolutely necessary
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

Deck Updated

I made a few very big changes, adding a bit more defense. However, I am currently at a rather strange number of cards - 54. I would like to get this down to 50 if at all possible.

Thanks guys for your help so far. :)

Yeah... but it's fast... and can get rid of key cards (ie Unholy Writ) or a really annoying CotH

Only for one player though, right? I actually think this would be pretty awful in MP. It would just help everyone else (except the one person whom I drop the A-bom on). I never even play MP anyway, so it doesn't really make a difference (for me). :P

Anyway, keeping in mind that I will not be playing MP with this deck, do you think I should just put two more defensive cards in there and make it a 56? I'd like it to be speedy, but I can't really take anything out for offense (except maybe the Feast, which is a bit risky with DD and all, especially considering all the forced drawing I already have), and I need to have a relatively long-lasting defense for A-bom setting-up purposes.

EDIT: Update. I bumped the deck up to 56. I'd like to get it back down, but it just doesn't seem like it would be wise to take anything else out.

Update on this deck: After playing a couple fun games with friends, I realized how fragile the defense really is, and how hard it is to set up the combos I want. So, I added in more searching and other defensive cards. Please take a look at it now and see what you think.
