TGT v/s Turtle?

My daughter (10) is looking to get into Redemption and I am wondering which strategy would be best for her (upcoming set considered) TGT or Zebby-Turtle. What would you all suggest and who has the best deck for the possible themes?
And the Lord will descend with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of the Archangel, and the TRUMPET of God.

If you're considering the new set then both are poor choices in my opinion.

I'd go with a simple Genesis offence, they're strong, flexible and easy to obtain.

For defence I like Babylonians or Assyrians.

My idea is to put her behind a deck that is fairly easy to play and hard to beat so she can build confidence and won't give up right out of the chute.

I would go with TGT because zeb turtle is diffucult to use for new players. Truthfully she is better going off with one or two colors on each side for starters.

yes, unfortunately and as much as i hate to admit it, even a blind monkey with schizophrenia could pilot a tgt deck successfully. if you want her to consistently win and is cookie cutter to build, tgt is your theme.

I disagree. Imo, the best ease-to-power ratio is Genesis/Romans.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Hey it's franklin....coming into your town xp...
But I definetly would do genesis and philistines. Genesis is easy and philistine has bunch of different characters so she can learn different abilities. And they are stable too.

A "turtle" deck is a deck that is designed to move slowly.  It does not attack every turn, has plenty of stops on defense, and waits to set up a great situation for yourself at the end of the game, where there is very, very little (ideally nothing) an opponent can do to stop you from winning.

A Zebulun Turtle waits until you have no cards in your deck, so that you can't draw a card, leaving your hand at zero cards.  That means he ignores all evil characters, except those with zero defense (which is possible to have with Pharisees/Sadducees and High Priest's Palace and Crown of Thorns, but very rarely seen).  As your deck turtles along, it is stopping your opponent's rescues with its lots of stops.  It is getting rid of opponent's sites or guaranteeing your access in another way, discarding opponent's artifacts such as Golden Calf which cripples your Zebulun, etc.

Lol, Golgatha means that I'll never play a Zeb deck again, to risky that I run into it, and I wouldn't want to have to use Land Dispute to take it instead of an access card.

Also, my apologies Hi123, I thought I had included a general description of gameplay methodology in the deck-thread, but I didn't. Bryon is correct about what a turtle does.

There are few things that can beat this for a "too much information" label (at least on a Christian forum).
