Speed fails! Naw but seriously. This looks more teal, less speed.

That was my first thought; expand your purple, and add at least a little defense (Ex: 4 cards - KoT, PotW, PotA, & Red Dragon). Also, where are Hopper & Harvest Time? It needs some tweaking.

I would take out P Spear, and PP.  I would also add Hopper and HT.

I would use a different "little" defense. King of Tyrus, Uzzah (2 characters that can successfully block), Sabbath Breaker (draw more? yes please), and either The Amalekites Slave (Put a LS in their territory) or 12Fingered Giant (stops banding, which beats KOT fbn).

I was just jotting something down; I don't really care what he puts for the defense, I just think he needs one, and it should probably be small.

12Fingered Giant (stops banding, which beats KOT fbn).
Are you kidding me? You would rather have someone who negates banding than someone who negates everything (and has significantly higher offense numbers)?

Hmm, maybe that wasn't worded correctly. I said he should have in KOT, I was just noting that against a FBN banding chain though, 12 Fingered Giant is better than KOT because 10/12 won't beat a 16/15 (Jacob + Captain) or higher and 12 Fingered Giant can.

This looks like a not too shaby Teal deck, but not at all a speed deck.

Yes, that's true, but if you're choosing between the two, I'd definitely choose KoT.

Hey, isn't this the deck you played against me and I beat you, like, 5-1? (By the way, sorry for that connection failure in the "rematch.")

Also, you had absolutely no defense, so pretty much any time I made a rescue, you just gave me a Lost Soul. YOU NEED SOME DEFENSE! Here's a sample of one you could use:

14 cards:

EC's (7)
King of Tyrus
Prince of the Air
Prince of this World
Red Dragon
Seven Sons of Sceva
Seven Wicked Spirits
Trembling Demon

Enhancements (4)
Deafening Spirit
Lying Unto God
Torment
Worshipping Demons

Supporting Cards (3)
Holy of Holies (ironically - for TD)
Household Idols (for Prince and Worshipping Demons)
KotW (obviously, for protection, especially from your own AoC - works well with SWS)

I use defenses like this a lot, and they work pretty well, besides being quite small. This is just a rough draft, and you could trim it if you wanted. Or, you know, you could just add sites. :dunno:

Sabbath Breaker and False Peace, might not block, but go get one of those much needed dominants.  I will take two please.

How do you play words of encouragement or book of hozai? I'd take them out for more stuff, but since you only have teal heroes, you're pretty limited. IT's really not speed, it's a "fast" teal deck. And any heavy defense/heroless would easily swat it down. You don't have that many battle winners, and if they just kill Mel, then you lost your best one of all.
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.

Well...it isn't speed, frankly. This deck is just a teal deck with no defense and a few drawing cards....It's weird! o_O

However, I agree with everyone else that this isn't really a speed deck.

From what I've picked up about Speed, I think you need a lot of drawing, and with certain combos so that you can draw your entire deck in just a turn or two. Cards like Joiada (with Pentecost) help, but he also makes you lose a turn in which you could have made a rescue attempt. Although I haven't played too many speed decks myself, I'm pretty sure most of the successful ones are purple brigade (maybe with some mix)....Come to think of it, though, I have never seen a dissected Speed deck before....Could someone point me in the right direction?

You don't have to play Pentecost immediately... you can RA with Joiada and play Pentecost at the end of your turn.
