Title: Re: T:1 My (New) Deck Side Kick
Post by: STAMP on September 19, 2008, 05:08:27 PM
I built and played a deck similar to this one against Chronic Apathy yesterday and got pwned at the end.  Even though I made a couple of mistakes, I think the best I could have done is get one more LS (he won 5-3).

So, yes, it needs more to the offense.  Once I figure out what it is that works for me I'll let you know.  :)

Maybe sowing the seed to mess up their territory as your side battles mess up the rest of their areas?

This deck actually works very well, it comes out extremely quick. It's record so far is 2-1-1 it has scored at least 4 every game so far.

...What the heck is Arrogance for?

I agree arrogence seems out of place. Imo it would be better to make the defense one color. Any good offense would rip through your current defense.

Yeah, the defense looks extremely flimsy to me.

Yeah, that might be a good addition, too.

This deck is to my playing style without a massive offense ( I usually don't use a defense ). If you don't know why Arrogance is in the deck then you don't get the strategy of the deck and you really missed the boat about what this deck is all about. I'm not going to spell it out, I'll let you younger/inexperienced players try to figure it out on your own. This deck so far has surprised me, and surpassed all expectations. My newest version will be used as my main deck for this tourny season, I think its that good. I don't know why I haven't tried playing this deck before now, its sooo much fun to play with. It gives me more of a rush than any speed deck ever did. And I like that it's unconventional/not used by anyone that I know.

Yeh, I mean, look at that deck.  Is that a gray enhancement I see?  And there isn't even a gray evil character to play it on.  If that guy hadn't won an event at Nationals both of the past two years I'd think he was a total n00b. :D

This made me laugh pretty hard.

And Daniel, you should post your new T1 deck and see if anyone has any suggestions. I'm not an expert of Silver or Orange so I'm probably forgetting something.  :P

Annnd, my cell phone died the other night. Mah bad.

it lacks big numbers.  you also need Zechariah, Benaiah, benaiah snatches a spear, spiritual warfare, abel's sacrifice, david's music (andi-demon) and wickedness removed.  Also, take oup visions (it eats up enhancements for you) and put in provisions.  Play provisions on nahum, make them block w/assyrian archer, negating his ablilty and then ignore him; don't kill him.  That'd be a great play.

Has this deck actually been tested?

I've played it a few times. If the combo comes out, there's really nothing you can do.

The thing that surprises me about this deck is that the combo comes out on a consistent basis.

Which is the beauty of a 50 card deck.  ;D

I'm becoming fond of small but efficient 50 card decks.

Time to resurrect this thread.  The deck needs more Babel.

Well it seems that the defense would be better if there was more sidebattle cards on your offense. Maybe you could split your already small ofense into blue and green? That way you have 2 sidebattle cards so you can get your combo more. Call me though maybe I am seeing somehting wrong. Also the other week I was at the beach and lost my phone.  >:(
