where's baalam's disobedience? Where's ROME?  Those are absolutely necessary for emperors.  King David will run the defense over in 2 seconds flat.  Make the ratios of evil characters to evil enhancements 8 to 7; it'll be much more even then.  And throw in some non-royalty as well.

You know, Dart doesn't kill people in battle I don't think. and what's so bad about 1/1 anyway? pretty much anyone is going to have initiative against you!

I'm pretty sure that in-battle characters dont die from ability decreases until after battle (unless otherwise specified, like with Hunger).

They are correct. The rulebook specifically states that characters may drop to zero (or below) during battle. Only characters outside battle are discarded "immediately."

As far as I know, that also applies to Hunger.

I don't think so; I mean it specifies otherwise on the card, and there's nothing in the REG that says that this applies only to characters outside of battle. (There is a play as, but it doesn't clarify that part.)

No, Hunger won't discard a hero until after battle. Most people use it for mass territory sniping.

It's true, Hunder doesn't discard the character(s) until the end of battle.  Both Hunger and Ignorance say to discard the characters but it's only "reminder text" because they were printed (in Prophets) before there was a game rule that characters at */0 or less are discarded.  I'd personally like to see both cards changed to play the way they read but that's how it's been ruled.
