Eric's CASUAL deck Number Three - FBTN Offense and Sites

** THIS IS A CASUAL DECK, NOT INTENDED TO WIN ANY HUGE TOURNAMENTS.  It is an attempt at showing a sample of a deck for newer players.  Substitute in other cards for the rares/ultra-rares as needed.  **

50 Cards - 7 Lost Souls
Artifacts - Elijah's Mantle, Three Nails
Covenants - I am Creator, Covenant with Moses, I am Salvation
Curses - Captured Ark, Wastelands
Fortresses - The Name of the Lord
Dominants - Son of God, Angel of the Lord, Burial, Christian Martyr, Destruction of Nehushtan
Heroes - Jacob, Captain of the Host (Warriors), The Strong Angel (Warriors), Shamhuth (Warriors), Benaiah (Warriors), Ira (Warriors), Moses (Starter), Angel of Warning (TxP)
Hero Enhancements - Godspeed, Pillar of Fire, Presented Before the Lord, Sword of the Spirit (Kings), Shield of Faith (Warriors), Chastisement of the Lord (Promo), Brass Serpent (Promo)
Sites - Pergamum, Babylonian Banquet Hall, Babylon x 5
Evil Characters - King Jehoiakin, Emperor Nero, Uzzah, Philistine Garrison (TxP), Women as Snares
Evil Enhancements - Confusion, Torment, Lying Unto God

Theory:  FBTN is just fun and simple to try.  Presented before the Lord and Chastisement of the Lord were recent, and helpful, additions.  Angel of Warning is there to get Name of the Lord and/or important sites.  Needs a lot of artifact removal to bar site access and also annoying artifacts that would negate FBTN.  Rest of defense is splash but could easily be changed.  Confusion is just fun when it can pull a Son of God OR site access out of a deck.  Hope this helps newer players with deck ideas.

This could be a VERY good deck. like honestly, I have no idea why you call this low class. I'd change about 12 cards. Shamhuth, Chastisement, the sites, King Jehoiakin, Women as Snares and Confusion.

You are right that Shamhuth is the weak point, but it needed another FBTN hero.  Chastisement is great to add 6/6 to anyone, and if they go to The Name of the Lord or I use Brass Serpent, they keep the increase.  If you can get Bab Banquet Hall out early then you have extra sites to put your lost souls in that Women As Snares causes.  Then again, if they're rescuring at all, it means they have access.  I usually use Confusion to take out their site access rather than Son of God.  As I said in another post, all of these have tournament potential with a few changes, but these are the decks I use in "casual" play so that I can balance all eleven of my decks.  For example, I have ONE New Jerusalem promo, not eleven :)  Thanks.

I personally like Adino and Warrior's spear for FBTN, but shamhuth isn't really all THAT bad.

Also, I'm a bit confused about your defense, why King Jehoiakin? You have no crimson enhancements, and he's a 1/1. I do however LOVE woman as snares, and I think using them with the BBH for sitelock is a great idea for this kind of deck.

Uh-oh. Did I put the wrong King?  I thought the Crimson 1/1 was Shallum?  This is meant to be the 1/1 Pale Green.  Sorry if I messed that up.

Adino and Warrior's Spear (or his own spear) is a good idea too, and would also give me access to red sites (although I expect to have at least one unoccupied Babylon ideally).  One reason I would hesitate to add another brigade for heroes is the Lost Soul that hurts you if you have more than 3 brigades in play at one time.  It is important that this deck have as few heroes out at one time as possible.  Another option is Warrior's Simeon instead of Shamhuth, as someone else who can band to COTH.  The two Covenants are also important for the "Cannot be Prevented" lost soul.  Hope this helps explain my reasoning more.  I encourage everyone to try it.  It's one of the first decks I ever made and still one of my favorites.

You didn't mess up. King Jehoiakin is 1/1 pale, and Shallum is 1/1 Crimson, as you assumed.

You're right, it is pale green, and that makes sense with confusion, which is apparently what happened to me.

Um, I seem to recall that I beat YOU (actually it was a stalemate) using MY deck while I used MY demons deck :)  I'm not sure that this deck would have lost in the hands of its creator :)

Demons don't win against it. sure, orange has some high number characters, but honestly, they don't have enhancements enough.

He's remembering one block when he had his hero up to something like 21/22, and I had Prince of this World up to 23 toughness!  I had been saving a LOT of evil enhancements for that one block :)  But that was really a fluke.

I once got a band up to 112/117 or something (it was over 100's on both ends...) FBTN and CBN immunity. twas epic. they then blocked with Rabby + 2K horsies and played a DoU... but it was the best moment of my redemption career.
