Spiritual Endurance

I've been tinkering with this deck for a while, but I've hit a dead end and I'm not sure what to change.

56 cards...

Angel of Warning
Arianna
Attending Angel
Captain of the Host (Wa)
Gabriel (Wa)
Michael (Wa)
The Strong Angel (Wa)
   Flaming Sword
   Protection of Angels
   The Second Seal
   Striking Herod
   Swift Beings

   Gabriel Meets Zecharias
__________

Injuring Demon
King of Tyrus
Prince of this World
Seven Wicked Spirits
The Thief
Wandering Spirit
   Deafening Spirit
   Destructive Sin

Gomer

Red Dragon
Seven Sons of Sceva

   Lurking
   Torment
__________

The Bronze Laver
Unholy Writ

I Am Holy

Unknown Nation
Captured Ark
Madness
__________

Chamber of Angels
The Gates of Hell

The Ends of the Earth
Promised Land
__________

All doms except Glory (6 good, 6 evil)
__________

Hopper

Thorns
Site Guard
FoOF Discarder
Speed Bump
Revealer
Hand Discard
Anti-Burial

My absolute biggest concern right now is lack of heroes. One more hero and I would feel a lot better about this deck. I just can't find a single card to take out. I'm pretty Dominant and Artifact heavy, but all of those cards (except maybe Harvest Time?) have very important purposes.

Also, if I put in a hero, I'm not sure whether I want it to be Angel at Jerusalem, The Destroyer, or Angel of God...or maybe someone else? I've been leaning toward The Destroyer...

I also am a little bit concerned about the rather unconventional Lost Soul set. The Revealer is the only one of my Lost Souls that is even sometimes considered one of the typical 7.
(The reason I chose the configuration I did is because I really wanted to use the Site Guard, and if I had the site guard, the shuffler would be less reliable, so I figured I might as well take that and the Wanderer out, and then I would put in Thorns and also have more room for the Anti-Burial, which I thought would be good in this deck. I also was concerned that I would not have enough sites to support my Site Guard, so I put in another site, and I figured while I was at it I would continue my mini-hand-discard theme and put in the two hand-discarding Lost Souls. I had to take out the Female and NT for that. Finally, I realized that I had very little anti-speed (as well as very little drawing power), so I took out the 2/3-Liner (also less useful without the shuffler or Hormah) for the speed bump. *whew*)

I've been seriously considering using Lampstand, Glory, and ZT, since that could really free up some space and help my offense a lot. A lot of people are using Lampstand now, so that could potentially hurt me anyway. However, then I would want to splash in Eli or something so I could get Lamp out quickly. So...I don't know if I want to go down that road. I might just take out HT and put in The Destroyer and call it a day.

Thoughts?

hmm...looks like i could shred your offense with my babs - perhaps a simeon and jacob? And i've always found the shuffler and wanderer to be much much better than the thorns UNLESS you're playing a site lockout which you're not.

I don't understand how this is exceptionally weak to Babylonians, or how Simeon or Jacob would help that. If you are referring to Nergalsharezer, then that is why I want to fit The Destroyer in here.

And i've always found the shuffler and wanderer to be much much better than the thorns UNLESS you're playing a site lockout which you're not.
The shuffler conflicts with the site guard. The Exchanger is good, but I figured I would rather have the Thorns (especially since so many people play with the Shuffler and the Wanderer), as well as one more space for something else.

How? Babs have significant trouble with Angels.

Bubbleboy you seriously need to stick to one deck and tweak that, if you change all the time you have to keep getting used to new decks and you don't accurately know how good or bad the deck is.

I'm not liking the soul choice.... I've never found a reason not to use Female or NT, Wanderer to a lesser extent. Otherwise it looks like it might work? Your defense doesn't have enough push.

Also, I've never seen Gates of Hell used effectively in t1...

What is the purpose of Injuring Demon in this deck?  I think this is the first deck I've seen that put Injuring Demon in but not Trembling Demon.  But I'm not an experienced deck maker, so I was wondering what the strategy was.

Jm, I'm guessing it is to band to/steal the opponent's evil characters seeing as how he also has Wandering Spirit and Seven Wicked Spirits.

Except Injuring Demon doesn't band ;).

I can't talk for BB, as I don't understand his logic, but it is likely because he is 9/9.... It doesn't look like he has much defense except FBTN, Immunity, and numbers.

No problem  :)  Rawr's explanation sounds reasonable.  We'll see what BB says I guess  :D

I'm not as interested in being good as I am in having fun. :)

Yeah, I know the lost souls are weird. Should I change them? Should I take out the hand discarders? And the Thorns? And the Speed Bump?

Your defense doesn't have enough push.
The basic strategy of the defense was:
1) To barrage my opponent with powerful EC's (Red Dragon, Prince, KoT, SWS to steal my opponent's Garrison, Thief for surprise hand-sniping, Injuring Demon mainly for genericness)
2) To keep those EC's alive as much as possible (Wandering Spirit, Seven Sons of Sceva, Torment)
3) To make sure that when I am defeated I have a way to get an EC back into battle (UN, Madness, TGoH, Site Guard LS)
4) To hold well against TGT (TGoH, Madness, Doubt, Destructive Sin)

At least on paper, this seems like a solid strategy, and I feel like it should be enough to wear out my opponent's offense most of the time. Gabriel will also be used largely for defensive purposes.

The bottom-of-the-deck is not nearly as important as the putting a demon into battle.

What is the purpose of Injuring Demon in this deck?  I think this is the first deck I've seen that put Injuring Demon in but not Trembling Demon.  But I'm not an experienced deck maker, so I was wondering what the strategy was.
I didn't want to put Trembling Demon in here because I didn't want to put Holy of Holies in here either, and TD is next to worthless without that card. I felt Injuring Demon was a good choice for this deck because he is pretty much the only high-number orange generic demon, and I want to have one of those for my Wandering Spirit (who most of the time I wish could band to SWS to exchange for Prince or Thief or Red Dragon, but just in case...). Also, he can snipe some annoying characters, like Gen Widow, Benjamin, Micah, and the dreaded Heman.

BTW, thanks for the feedback guys!

I like the idea of sniping low defence heros, dont know how realistic it is though. maybe with a side battle on offence- idk...
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!
