Now that Samuel is no longer playable, Throne decks miss that initial burst for speed. This doesn’t mean Throne decks still aren’t the fastest burst decks but with so many great star abilities out, and about to come out, I think other offenses have the ability to set up quickly. With Samuel our you miss the D2, D2, search for Throne put in play (draw 1) plus draw off Throne. These new offenses are fast but they get what they need more so than just drawing everything. I assume this is what you’re looking for. Since you’re playing clay you can easily transition to a clay offense that has similar characteristics to Throne. Angel of the Sun can immediately fetch a Revelation martyr for a draw 2, plus the search is an essential draw 3. Grab Justin Martyr to get Blood of the Lamb, essentially another draw 1 (assuming you play these in your deck) and then you get a D3 off Blood. You can play Angel in the reserve with numerous star abilities to ensure you get Angel first turn. Now you get Angel first turn, snag Justin, draw 2, snag blood, draw 3, that’s a reserve card and almost 100% chance to get this first turn, with at least a draw 4 plus having blood of the Lamb for another draw 3 if they block for a potential of 7 off the rip. That’s essentially what throne strives to do. You can add in Faith of Samuel and band in Paul for a draw 5 and have your Colossae heroes and get a draw 3 as well and keep most of your offense intact.
Prophets have a lot of good search cards through star and allow you to snag things you need and The Watchmen, Malachai, Paul all give you draw abilities.
Royalty is very fast and can throw down new or old Throne and if you want speed just get old Throne down first turn and attack. The thing is a lot of people play single brigades now on defense so your draw is hampered, but it’s still a constant draw plus you have Abagail for a draw 3 usually.
