Title: Small offense
Post by: SomeKittens on February 14, 2012, 04:55:54 PM
Everyone's been claiming I'm a speed player, so here's a small offense to prove them wrong:

Heroes (Purple)
King Amazing
King Solomon
King David
King Hezzy
Abigail
Isaiah

Forts
TToD

Enhancements
Reach
AoCP
Valley of Salt
Counsel of Abigail
Pentecost
Isaiah's Call

does it work very well?

I just made it up, I'd say it'd depend on the defense used.

why not throw Isaiah/Isaiah's Call in with this since he protects purple kings?

You'd need Hezzy to band to him.

The main problem is that you don't have many battle-winners in the deck, and thus, you end up vulnerable to Plots and CMs and such. I would pair this up with a pale green defense (with brown splash) to make use of ASA to make sure you kill any protect forts to make sure AoCp is getting a lot of oomph behind it, and Assyrian Camp will protect your Assyrians. I would also add Pentecost because there's no real reason not to. I also agree with TSE that you might be better off putting in Isaiah and Isaiah's Call (maybe take out Hiram for Hezekiah) to add a little more "oomph" to the offense, which really lacks it right now.

I run this offense, with a bit more to it of course.

Wow, can't believe I forgot Pentecost.  Isaiah/Hezzy might be worth a shot, especially with Call wrecking standalone.  I plan on using this with a Brown Kings defense, something I've always wanted to try.

Brown Kings might be enough, provided you focus a lot of your decreasing on your opponent's defense as necessary. I would also consider splashing Assyrians or Magicians (or both) to make use of Death of Unrighteous.

My one worry is them banding to my King David to ignore my defense.

Then he'll have to worry about Goliath.

It would depend on how large my Pale Green splash is.

In that case why not babs?

Babs still have a good portion of royal family.

You'd have to decide either King Hezzy or Assyraian camp since Hezzy in play disrupts the protection of Assyrain camp. I'd also think about using User of Curiuos Arts(TxP) if you were going to splash green since it seems like brown is your defense of choice. He would allow you to use brown on him as well. :)

I'd much rather go with Hezzy, Assyrians are a splash.  With that big of a defense, User wouldn't be much of a help, as I'll probably have Brown when I need it.

How does brown work with Assyrians? And how big will this defense be?

The biggest mesh is DoU, which shuffles all Samarias back for another go-round.

I'd like to keep the deck at 50-52 cards.
