If placed in a site discard the top card of opponents deck
If hero withdraws, place beneath deck

My typical rule is to have at least as many characters as enhancements for every brigade you use. That works for your black, but not for your gold (since you have only 2 ECs). Additionally, black and gold can work well together, but they work much better when the testaments match up for the themes--i.e. Sadducees go well with NT gold (Herods) and Egyptians go better with OT black (Canaanites). I'm not sure what your collection is like, but I would focus on choosing whether you would like an NT or an OT defense.

If you prefer NT, try to get the following cards--

Herod's Dungeon (Thesaurus)
Salome (Thesaurus)
Herod the Great (Disciples)
Herod Agrippa II (Thesaurus)
Archelaus (Disciples)
Herod's Temple (Disciples)
Beheaded
Escape to Egypt
Herod's Treachery

If you prefer OT, you'll need to get some of the new tins (tins 22 for your Egyptians, and tins 23 and 25 for Canaanites). I would suggest using 5 of each color EC and 5 of each color EE, but you may have to go smaller depending on the size of your offense (possibly 4 of each). If you are unable to get the above cards, then at the very least add in a couple more Egyptians (I would suggest Egyptian Charioteers from the H deck, and Egyptian Wise Men from Patriarchs). Also, Enslaved By Egypt from the H deck will be much more useful than Partner Abandoned, since it is CBN when you have Egypt in play. Building Egypt won't really help you very much either, since you only have one site. Wonders Forgotten (from Priests) would be much more useful, and it is also a pretty easy to find common card.

I'll probably go the N.T. route. Would it still be fine to use Goliath and Goliaths spear?

Goliath is pretty splashable in black decks (especially NT when he won't interfere with any fortresses) so if you want to include him it wouldn't necessarily be a detriment.

As browarod said, Goliath is pretty splashable, so he can certainly be added it. Goliath's Spear isn't very good though (Goliath has plenty of numbers already, more numbers won't help him that much). I would instead use one of the following instead (depending on what you may have): Hunger, Wrath of Satan, High Priest's Plot, Foolish Advice. Hunger is nice because it can often kill a bunch of your opponent's Heroes without hurting your own. Wrath kills everyone's heroes, but if your offense is easily healable/recurrable (like your Angels offense in the other post, which can be regenerated via Chamber) then it can be worth it. High Priest's Plot is a sneaky way to get rid of a good battle winner/dominant. And Foolish Advice is nice on Goliath, or if you use Herod Agrippa banded to one of the Sadducee High Priest's (since the band cannot be negated) to get some high numbers and a FBTN battle.

I changed my mind about the defense. I got a few tins and got some more egyptians and canaanites. I will change my defense list with my current defense. I haven't added the canaanites yet because I don't have enough could you tell me some good ones to get(or tins they come in)
These are my canaanites:
Evil characters:
Abimelech
Gibeonite delegates
Enhancements:
Gibeonite trickery
Gibeonite curse
Sites:
Canaan

I don't currently have gideon in my deck for Abimelech. I might add it though angel under the oak.

I would say flip "Moses Kills Egyptian" for "Wonders Forgotten" its a 0/4 with the ability "Select up to 4 good cards from one opponent's discard pile and remove them from the game. The battle immediately ends. Can not be negated". get massive banding ended with an Egyptian with "Egyptian Horses" on and play it you will kill almost any hero in the game, or use it to end the battle in a stale mate and get the block. i use it and that is one of my favorite cards to use.

Love Herod's Treachery atop Agrippa 2. Used it against my brother in law's Isaiah angel band.  Blocked with HA2 while HD was unoccupied and capped Isaiah then discarded treachery to force the angel withdraw then capped the angel after the withdraw....it's a beautiful block!!!! he made the mistake of not using Isaiah's call.  He forgot to search for it with his angel...doh!!!!

Gibeonite Trickery is a great battle winner, and it came in the tin you got yesterday! :)
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

That's just what I was thinking, especially since it gives 6 toughness. I didn't know if there were any others...
