Overall, great deck.  Very solid.  Excellent card selection.  :)

Here are my suggestions based on experience.

Swap Melchizedek out for Ethiopian Treasurer.  You need access to the NT Only LS and ET is too good not to use in a purple offense.  I tried playing "royalty" without him too but found that I missed him too much.

Swap out Pentecost for Unified Kingdom.  Don't get me wrong, Pentecost isn't bad, in fact I love that card, but UK is better for this deck.  It's great when you get to play first with ET or TToD.  It gets around WoP to bring in your opponent's Heroes.  It usually wins me a soul and can be recurred with Lemuel.

Swap out Snare for Deluge of Rain.  Capture is one of the most easily stopped battle winners and you've already got a lot.  Deluge of Rain works great with Naaman and Sabbath Breaker or a Lying Spirit banded to your opponent's EC.

Swap out Promised Land for Dragon Raid.  You're playing purple so you don't need to fear Pergamum.  Why limit yourself to 2 accesses instead of unlimited access?

I've tried having a Lost Soul configuration that doesn't include the Female Only and NT Only Souls and I'm rarely happy without them.  The trouble that most offenses have accessing those 2 souls goes a long way towards helping a defense.  They're simply too good not to use.

Go Into Captivity might be better than Unholy Writ because it can capture angels and you have 5 warrior class ECs to use it with.

Thanks for the suggestions. :) I just have one comment.

Yeah, Dragon Raid could work too, I guess, but I thought it could be fun because Promised Land can be used unlimitedly by King David. Besides, there are a number of cards that target Dragon Raid, but hardly any that target Promised Land. It's true, I was sort of worried by Pergamum occupied by a Lost Soul that I couldn't access, but I suppose with Ethiopian Treasurer that wouldn't be quite as big of a deal.

You know, once I took out Pentecost, I realized that this deck really isn't very...speedy without it. Is there any possible way to squeeze it in?

First, thanks for seriously considering and trying out the recommendations I gave you. :)  I don't take time to give advice on peoples decks very often due to the large time investment that too often gets a response like "lol, your advize stinx and my dek is awesome alredy, k, thx, bye".  It's encouraging to see someone that's open to good advice. + 1 you!

Regarding Pentecost, if you really want it in there you could remove a purple enhancement.  Glittering Sword is probably the least useful to this offense (behind Coat of Mail which is necessary for the TToD plan).  As I mentioned previously, I'm a huge fan of Pentecost and use it in a lot of my decks.  I just don't see it helping this offense as much as another battle winner would.  This offense is a normal size offense.  It's not super fast or large.  It can take a little time to set up.  There's only one way to generate a Lost Soul (Night Raid).  No Hopper, Harvest Time, Amelakite's Slave, etc.  A true speed deck needs many ways to produce souls in the opponent's LoB and usually has a large offense (10 Heroes or more).  To make this a "speed" deck would take a reworking but that's not really necessary.  It looks really good the way you made it and it should work really well for you as is.

One other change I think would be helpful.  Remove I Am Redemption for Capture Ark.  You shouldn't have to worry much about captures unless they're Artifacts (Writ or GiC) since you'll often be playing first and you have plenty of interrupt/negates.  Capture Ark will clear those before you RA and it's also useful against a number of other cards that might be annoying to your deck.

take out coF for pentacost.

ET for Prince Jonathan. I have won several games for the sole fact that I can band two guys into battle and avoid cm.

widow for queen of sheba. Trust me, when you draw King Lemuel, you'll wish that you had more female royalty.

That should be good. I'll post again if I think of more stuff.

Hey, I thought of a beastly combo: TToD up - RA any OT purple king (preferably with Coat of Mail just in case) - Peace Treaty to band in ET - play anything you want! :D I'm sure tons of people have already seen this, but I like to point out everything I find. ;D

Your offense looks fine except I prefer not to use E.T and Peace Treaty and would rather use Leters to the church for those pesky fbtn battles and Queen of Sheba for the added protection from false peace and you really need females in a a deck like this.

Quote
Gray Evil Characters (7)
King Cushan-Rishathaim
King Hazael
Lying Spirit
Naaman
Sabbath Breaker
The Strong Force
Syrian Archer

Gray Enhancements (7)
Balaam's Disobedience
Chains
Deluge of Rain
Gold Shield
Namaan's Chariot and Horses
Night Raid
Syrian Victory

Now your defense I would change it to capture because thats what grey does best! Even though if blue Tassles or something like that comes up it seems you have that pretty much covered so id change your defense from that to..... This

Evil Characters: 7
Same cept Change out Lying Spirit for Shadow

Evil Enhasments: 7
Balaam's Disobedience
Snare
Demonic Snare
Deadly Snare
Namaan's Chariot and Horses
Night Raid
Syrian Victory

Forts: 3
Same cept Take out Wall of Protection for Raiders Camp (I dont really like wall it does help, but for a capture defense Raiders camp is better, also if you even find some random card you want to take out put in Demonic Strong hold so that when you use shadow they cant get there characters back  8))

Edit I didnt read Gabes post that well but I have to totaly disagree on Capture being the most easy to stop, a couple of sets ago it was, but in his deck he has 3+ art killers and a fort killer for those pesky Z temples and I think he should be more then fine if he uses capture.

This Defense has a bit of capture in it already - enough for me to get by; and besides, I don't want to base a defense completely on capture, and that's exactly what that is (except for BD). I mean, what would I do against a Z Temple deck or Melchizidek or something? Hazael won't be able to cover it, because my opponent will probably just keep discarding artifacts, and I can't always use Naaman with his Chariot to capture. :dunno: Maybe self-capture could be an option, but I think that would be best left to Assyrians.

Okay, I went to a tourney today and tested this deck out; overall, I was very happy with the results, and it was really fun to use. As usual, my last game was a battle for second place, which I lost merely because of a misunderstanding of The Garden Tomb's ability. (Curse you Hobbit! ;)) So in the end, this deck went 3-2. One thing I found might have been very useful on many, many occasions was HT. I'm not sure if it was just luck of the draw, but my opponents never drew lost souls! So I would really like to squeeze that in, if humanly possible.

P.S. Thank everyone for all the advice so far, even the stuff I didn't take. ;D

cof for HT. If you don't want to take it out... that's fine. Although with Lemuel... hm... maybe take out another art... I didn't check enough... did you have coM?
