Add Tribute. With all the banding your Assyrians are doing, it will be a big help I think.
-
*standard you should add Mayhem*
-
Removed Hopper, Gifts, and Hur.
Added JtB, Simeon, Birth Foretold, CoM, and Assyria's Tribute.
*standard you should add Mayhem*
I don't use Mayhem, far too situational for me.

Yeah true. It's only good in like every situation. ;)
-
I'm not sure the defense will last long enough for you to win.
Any suggestions?

Except it's really not....

mayhem into a 2Liner FTW!

UPDATE bump.
Added some cards to spruce up the defense, but now it's over the 56 limit. Not sure what to take out. T_T
-
First off, which Seraph is it? Is it legal? I know you were one of the ones who fought the ruling, and I did too, but the rules are still the rules. I would play with 5x KOT in my t1 if I could ;)
Also, if you can squeeze him in, I would put in King Asnappar. With all the people using Egyptians this year, and with the slight capture in your deck, he would be pretty helpful.
-
It's the band to green Seraph, lol. I would have no use for the band to blue one. :P
I'd love to put Asnapper in, I just already have 4 too many cards. Any suggestions on what I could take out?

UPDATE bump.
After a partial playtest with (and against) another version of this deck, I've modified it to the above. It's legal now, which is a plus, though I don't know how I feel about having taken out Angel of His Presence and Wheel within a Wheel. We'll see how this version does and go from there (or if you think I should modify it further).
-
I've never been a big fan of Birth Foretold unless you have Samson, especially if you already have Search (which I'm also not a big fan of).
Idk why you were being advised to take out W3 and Angel of His Presence, but I would put them back in for sure. Perhaps for JTB and BF.
PotW is useful less than zero percent of the time if not drawn in your opening hand. Every offense uses a lot of banding, ITB+win, and/or FbtN. I'd take him out for Balaam.
Simeon is ok, but all he has to win a battle with is Two Bears, which is negatable. Seraph to Simeon to JTB is a bit better since you're adding Striking Herod to the mix but, again, negatable. I'd take out Simeon for Rain Becomes Dust (especially if you put in Balaam and/or take out BF and JTB).
-
So, you suggest these changes:
-PotW
-BF
-JtB
-Simeon
+Balaam
+Wheel
+Angel/Presence
+Rain Becomes Dust
I must say I like being able to use BF to search for SoG and Search to search for NJ, but I see your point (especially if I take out JtB). I've never really been comfortable using RBD for various reasons, but I guess now is a good time to get over myself, lol. I will preliminarily make the above changes and see how that works.
EDIT: In regards to your Simeon + Two Bears comment, all my green brigade heroes can use Siegeworks and Razor as long as I have Isaiah or an Assyrian in play. :2cents:
-
No initiative. Just Saiyan.

Seeing the deck as is right now, I like the offense but as for the defense I think that you should take out an EC and put in a EE because in T1 you probably won't need 8 EC's more like 8 EE's. Maybe take out Women as Snares, since you don't want to generate too many Lost Souls and put in The Rabsaris Attacks or Captured by Assyria. That's just my opinion though.
-
You might be right, but since part of the strategy of this deck is to be able to discard my own Assyrians to negate and discard my opponent's evil cards with Protection of Jerusalem it seems prudent to pack a few extra ECs with which to continue blocking, lol.
EDIT: Made a small edit to the deck. Took out WaS and RBD to re-add BF and JtB. Sorry Pol, but I just like them too much, lol.
-
Well, I don't really need to recur BF, lol.
I will consider the Miriam/SW thing, though.
As for the EC, I don't really know who I'd take out. Obvi not the new tin Assyrians, Archer, or Tartan. With Egyptians seeming to be a popular defense, Asnappar seems like a good choice. Balaam is nice for recuring CoM if it gets discarded, though since I'm not using RBD he's less useful. I guess I could replace Balaam.
-
This is a brilliant strategy, I love it. I would add in a Fire, Smoke and Sulfur or Wheat and Tares. That will allow you to discard more ecs, and discarding your own to discard theirs via Protection of Jerusalem is a harder ability to negate, they'd need an interrupt the battle, instead of an interrupt the last enhancement.
I'd also put in Spiritual Warfare instead of Live Coal, it's a great battle-winner.
-
*standard you should add Mayhem*
-
Actually, ITB doesn't even stop Prot of Jerusalem since it's not in battle.
-
*standard you should add buckler*

Fine, have it your way.
