Propherods - T1-2P Updated 7/24/11

Just looking for some last minute advice before taking this deck to nationals.

The only issue I've really faced with this is if I don't draw characters (or if the ones I have get discarded/shuffled) then I'm screwed. I'm thinking of adding the covenant/curse that search for characters, but I don't know what to take out to put either/both in. I'd also like to find room for Harvest Time if possible. Notes on individual cards in italics.

Cards in Deck: 56
Lost Souls: 7
  Shut Door
  1st round
  Female-only
  Deck discard
  Beggar
  Wanderer
  Revealer

Sites: 4
  Golgotha
  CP
  Herod's Dungeon
Ends of the Earth (never really need in my playgroup)

Dominants: 8
  Grapes
  AotL
  GoYS
  SoG
  NJ
  CM
  DoN
  FA

Fortresses: 2
  Herod's Temple
  Obadiah's Caves

Artifacts: 5
  Lampstand
  Chariot of Fire
  Unholy Writ
  Hidden Treasures
  Gifts

Heroes: 8
  Hur
  Simeon
  John the Baptist
  Anna
  Habakkuk
  Micah
  Seraph
  Gabriel (Di)

Good Enhancements: 8
  Search
  Baptism of Jesus
  Two Bears
  Provisions
  Plague of Frogs
  Birth Foretold
  Striking Herod
  Gabriel meets Zecharias

Evil Characters: 7
  Herodias
  Salome
  Herod Philip II
  Herod the Great
  Archelaus
  Herod Agrippa II
  KoT (gold)

Evil Enhancements: 7
  Beheaded
  Escape to Egypt
  Swift Horses
  Wonders Forgotten
  Moses kills Egyptian
  Imprisoned
  Herod's Treachery

Deck Discard LS is always good because it makes your opponent +1 closer to drawing a soul to rescue. Instead of hand discard and site doubler, I'd use Site Guard and Female Only. I'd also use First Round or Pigs instead of Shuffler since you plan on having souls in sites and lack 2-line.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I don't have the shuffler, I have the one from Disciples that shuffles a NT LS when it's rescued, sorry for the confusion.

It would be good to fit in Burial and Doubler. The doubler is just to good of a block to not put in and can really punish people for droping the big two early.

That's either the shut door or the beggar. Look at the art to tell, I can't remember offhand.

Not that it really matters this much, I fixed the decklist. Can we move to suggestions now? lol

I can definitely put the 2-liner in, though in the case of Burial I left it out since I usually have Lampstand up all the time (also why I don't use Mayhem in here anymore) and getting rid of 1 Lost Soul wouldn't really have helped me other than maybe once as long as I've been using this deck.

I'll look into doing the LS swap that Pol suggested as well.

UPDATE bump.

Swapped the Lost Souls a little as well as exchanged an evil enhancement for a good one. Still not sure about the Souls since I have 2 sites, no 2/3-liner, no shuffler, etc.

It doesn't seem to me like you have enough heroes. If anything, I would make the hero to enhancement ratio 8:8 instead of 7:9

Do you have a suggestion for who to add? The only other hero I've thought about for this deck is Nathan, so I guess I could think about adding him back in, though not sure what to take out.

I would add two hero. Habakkuk and TSA. TSA is just an all around good hero and with striking herod he is really good. Habakkuk is a nice because it can get around chump blocks like uzzah, kill nasty ECs (Goliath, Garrison, and Nergal come to mind), and it can get around KOTW so you can use provisions. You can take out Spiritual 4square and Gabrial meets zach.

The federal commission of TH3 UNF0RG1V4BL3 approves of this post.  Haha did you take my spiritual "4square" thing?

I can't believe two of you now have suggested taking out a card that lets me pre-block ignore all human evil characters. Am I missing something?

I know it isn't exactly a standard meta, but at my playgroup I'm the only one that runs Golgotha (that I know of). Unless it's running rampant out there in every other playgroup (and, thus, at Nats) I don't think it's worth taking SW out.

TSA negates Striking Herod....or do you mean just for the 7/0?

EDIT: For better or worse, I've swapped Spiritual Warfare out for Habakkuk.

I only have the Kings one, is that sufficient or is the Warriors one necessary? I know the Warriors one is better for this situation, I just dunno how likely I am to get one before Nats.

The Warriors one is better. The Kings one falls to any horses, any WC bander (mostly Archers), and the suicide Kings (and emperor, whatever).

Side question: Is Ends of the Earth something I should keep, or will I not really have to deal with site access? In the playgroup I attend I don't think I've ever had to put EotE in battle for site access a single time since I started using this deck (2 or 3 tourneys ago).
