I will be going to a tournament this week and want to play just a Teal offence.
Would like some advice on which cards could I put in or take out to make it overall better. (at the moment , I do not own the latest Rock of ages tin that has the other teal cards in it)
I would probably end up having a deck that would be 56 cards maximum in total.
Cards in deck: 23
Fortresses: 1
Zerubbabel's Temple
Artifacts: 3
Altar of Incense
Ram's Horn
Urim and Thummim
Teal Heroes: 10
Amariah the High Priest
Eliashib the High Priest
Ezra
Jaddua, son of Jonathan
Joiada, Son of Eliashib
Jonathan son of Joiada
Joshua the High Priest
Phinehas, son of Eleazar
Seraiah the High Priest
Zechariah (green/teal)
Multi-Color / Teal Hero Enhancements: 9
Burning Incense
Filling Zerubbabel's Temple
His Name is John
Holy unto the Lord
Jehoiada's Strength
Pentecost (Purple/Teal)
Perpetual Priesthood
The Sabbath (multi color)
Zeal for the Lord
Reason why I have chosen these certain heroes is because most of them are Zerubabbel's temple priests (not all) and would be protected by Zerubabbel's temple and also have a few enhancements that give all heroes CBN (for one battle only) and artifact CBI.
Not sure about defense yet , but I might end up having a mostly black brigade only Sadducees defense.

That's a pretty solid start for a Teal offense.
Depending on how big the deck will be overall (I recommend 56), you might need to cut 1 enhancement and 1 Hero to have room for a decent size defense.
I would probably cut Ezra and Perpetual Priesthood from that list.

You *really* want to add Fellowship Offering.

I suggest putting in Trumpet Blast (another battle winner) and Priests of Christ as many people like to keep defense in their hand these days and he also has access to the N.T. Only which is also very popular. As The Guardian said, it'd probably be a good idea to take out some cards so as he said Ezra and Perpetual Priesthood could come out and probably also Holy Unto the Lord, depending on what you plan to use for defense. I've just never seen that card be more useful than hurtful, especially in Type 1 and with Nazareth now you're probably better off without it because you have Ram's Horn, His Name is John, Joshua, Amariah, and The Sabbath so it's not too big of an issue to take out one cbi battle-winner for a better not cbi battle-winner.

I have played with an offense like this, and a few cards I found worked well were Scapegoat and Zerubbabel himself. I know he is white, but getting him early in the game is really great. Scapegoat is great too, especially since you'll may well have some big numbers in battle. Fellowship Offering and Grain Offering are nice since Joiada can play both right out of the discard pile, but I would get Scapegoat in first. I second the idea of cutting Ezra since in theory your guys won't be captured. . . maybe if your defense captures you leave him in. I like Ram's horn. The thing with the priests is that they are slow, so I would try to get a little speed in you defense.

Come to think of it would adding Melchizedek (teal/Purple) and AoC (promo) work better with the teal deck I have?

That wouldn't be a bad idea, but if you do that, I would put in King Hiram as well for some else to play AoCP on and he can search out Z's Temple. If you put in those three, I would cut Ezra, Perpetual Priesthood, and Jehoiada's Strength.

Yes, Purple/Teal is a very strong combination. I agree with DJ that adding a second Purple Hero would be a good idea if you add AoC Promo. Hiram is a good choice, as is Widow, King David or Ethiopian Treasurer.
