I think 3 main things.
Your offense is very strong.
Your defense is very weak.
Your deck is not enough of a speed deck that you will consistently win before you lose.
Therefore, I think this deck is very susceptible to a bad draw (as defined by you drawing a lot of LSs early and your opponent not).
-
It's essentially the same as the other 12 or so Garden Tomb decks you have posted on the first two pages of the T1 deck section. What else is there to say?

I completely agree. I think it would help if you added in Hopper LS and maybe Harvest Time.

Yeah, I was getting a bit confused. What's with you and TGT anyway?

what to take out? And yes the offense is somewhat the same I'm mainly experimenting with defense.
-
I would recommend the following.
Out: Captain of the Host
I Am Justice
Victory
In: Three Nails
Hopper LS
Harvest Time
-
I don't know how the heck you expect this defense to work.
-
It isn't supposed to. Its supposed to d/c top of their deck, and maybe stop a rescue or two. Nothing more.
-
Well, it could definitely be more compact.
Personally, if I were choosing defense, I would go with PG: Women as Snares, PotW, that 1/1 king, Confusion, and DoU (with maybe a couple other things).
-
you really are'nt getting the point of it are you....
-
I completely understand the point of the defense, but have you actually tried it? First of all, it isn't very often that you randomly discard something extremely valuable from your opp's deck (whereas with Confusion, you can choose exactly what to get rid of). Second, each of these characters are pretty much just one-time-use anyway, since you only have one capture and a suicide to your name. Third...I'm really tired and I forgot.
-
yup I have beaten bye Gabe 5-4 Beaten bye Prof5-0 Has beaten Prof 5-4 Has Beaten Amelo 6-2 Has beaten Captain 6-4

Have you ever played me? :-p I made someone add JT in their decks cuz the first turn of the first round of nationals, I killed his sog off his deck.
-
to bad you didn't have mercy at Regionals :'(
-
Caleb, have you faced a good crimson defense with Headquarters at Riblah yet???
-
that my friend is where the Destroyer and covenant with Eden + CoA play their magic
-
oh, wow.
You pretty much have a counter for everthing
-
But what about KoT?
-
AoTL and/or any of my arts that kill him if he kills me
-
Realistically if you draw a lot of LSs you're defense is too weak to stop you from losing. Therefore, I see 2 decent options.
#1 - forget about defense completely. Take out all 9 evil gold cards. Focus on making sure that you always have LSs to rescue. That means putting in Hopper, Harvest Time, and The Amalekite Slave. This will drop your deck to 50 cards so that you draw faster than your opponent and will also create 3 LSs.
#2 - beef up your defense. Take out the 6 cards that you use least often on offense, and replace them with more cards for your defense. That way you can stall long enough for your still powerful offense to win.
-
lol back to being defenseless ::)
-
updie dated ;D
-
If you're going to race then GoYS and Falling Away are crucial. That's a potential 2 Lost Soul deficit for you that you can't afford.
-
Maybe I'm not reading this right, but if this deck is defenseless - as the title of the thread says....then why is there defensive ECs in it? Am I confused???
-
theres 1 lol

What about bumping the deck up to 63-70, with all of that devoted to defense? If you are dependent on getting The Destroyer back with Cov. of Eden + CoA, to counter a civilization defense with a protect fort, you are already saying you are willing to hang out for a while to win. Why not just make it official?
-
This is just an updated version of an old deck. Better players will know how to play their cards against it.

MJB, playing with more defense is dangerous because if you play against somebody that is also using that color then your Garden Tomb is completely worthless.

I'm talking about a considerably beefed up single-stop defense. Right now, he's at 52 so you are talking about 10 cards to get you to 63. I would think something like the following
Uzzah
Trembling Demon
King Zimri
Emp. Otho
Torment
Death of Unrighteous
Lying Unto God
Love of Money
Hormah
Holy of Holies
would give you quite a bit of bang for the buck.
-
Why Death of Unrighteous?
-
Why Death of Unrighteous?
I'm not really committed to that card, but my reasoning was as follows...
xCaLeBx has Women as Snares in his deck--and he really needs to keep it. If you add Death of Unrighteous, you can hope that you pull it first and can actually win a block with WoS. Of course that's if you draw it first, and if you get initiative with a 6/7, and then the ECs get shuffled... OK, that's not a good choice.
What about pulling DoU for another multi-color NT evil enhancement? Maybe Dance of Death or something.
-
I'd go with lurking.
-
Why isn't anyone even considering E Ward? Does this deck not like using capture?
-
updie dated @MJB: why the heck would I use Love of money?

For the same reason you should ignore RR's suggestion of going with Lurking. (Sorry, RR.)
You aren't trying to win a battle using enhancements; you are trying to win the battle by discarding enhancements. Any of the multicolor NT enhancements can be discarded by both Zimri and Otho to fulfill their SA. So all you need is any enhancement plus either suicider. (In this case although any NT Crimson EE would be enough, I would go with multi-color for the reason outlined below.)
Why isn't anyone even considering E Ward? Does this deck not like using capture?
Because I was trying to limit myself to 10 cards to fit into xCaLeBx's deck, and it feels to me that there are more heroes protected from capture than protected from discard. E. Warden is also limited to singleton human heroes. If your opponent bands or rescues with an Angel, you are out of luck.
If xCaLeBx were willing to sacrifice two offensive cards cards, I would swap in E. Warden and another multi-color NT enhancement. Then you have enhancements that can be discarded to trigger Zimri's, Otho's, and E. Warden's SA. Mix and match any enhancement for any blocker. Add in Torment to resurrect a discarded guy and you have a second block.
-
If Warden goes in, add in Philosophy with him. ET can recur it.
-
where is ET? and is'nt lurking NT?
-
Lurking is OT. The evil side of Philosophy is also OT (good side is NT).
-

The problem with Philosophy is that it is an OT EE, which makes it less useful with Otho. I'm also not sure xCaLeBx wants to "waste" a RA to retrieve a evil card, but I may be mis-apprehending his playing style.
where is ET? and is'nt lurking NT?
According to the REG, Lurking has a Psalms reference. I didn't verify that on the card, however.
Lurking is OT. The evil side of Philosophy is also OT (good side is NT).
What Gabe said--instaposted.
True Story that Illustrates the Difference Between Gabe and Myself: Gabe knew beforehand that Philosophy was OT when played as an evil enhancement. I didn't figure that out until I was playing in a tournament and I tried to use it with Emp. Otho to discard all cards in battle. :(
-
I count 4 ECs. I am still confused.
-

No worries you are right, I forgot it is Psalms? Most AW cards are NT.
