Game 1: Loss to Chronic Apathy, 5-2
I had SoG/NJ in hand, waiting for when He was going to give me the 2line, so it could have been 5-4. I made a few bad plays, and was caught offguard by both a JT and a Glory of the Lord protecting a site access artifact. I could have pulled a confusion turn 3 without the turn 1 JT, and I did pull a HPP turn 6 or 7, discarding AoCp. Overall, I am happy with the way this deck looked, and with some mods, it should work.
-
I give up, why Frog Demons? :P
-
I share this befuddlement. Otherwise, looks relatively fun.
-
Immunity to Pergamum's color and access to confusion. I didn't really see any significantly better options in such a deck as this.
My main concerns are the ratios. I'm not sure if I have enough characters. I'm thinking about dropping something for Self. Offensively, I don't care as much, since ideally I will just Zebulun, but defensively it's important for me to lockout fast. I also want to try to fit a Brass Serpent in. Suggestions to drop? I don't want to go above 52, and preferably drop to 50.
-
You could get by without Promised Land IMO. If your opponent does use sites, most likely either you will use your sites for access or your opponent will do so; either way you won't have a problem. (Besides, you have two site-stealing enhancements in your arsenal.)
Secondly, I would replace your High Priest with a generic Sadducee.
Lastly, I would take out Frog Demons to put in Hophni and Phinehas with the space left from Promised Land.
That's just what I would do though. ...

Promised Land has definately seemed like the most fluff thus far. Since I haven't played with this, I won't be making any changes unless I am blown away, but that's definately on my short list. My goal with Promised Land is to help speed up the offense a bit by stopping early lockouts by the opponent, but that's somewhat unneeded probably. However, I'd probably drop it for Brass Serpent instead.
The High Priest is there mostly for help against FBTN. An earlier version of this deck made about a week ago didn't have Holy of Holies or CBP soul (epic fail). As such, I used a big numbered guy. I am comtemplating switching back to a generic sadducee before I play the deck though.
If I do take out Frog Demons, I wouldn't use Phinehas and Hophni. I'm going to have enough issues ensuring I get confusion off early or at all in every game. I don't need to discard two more characters that can easily use it.
What would you guys think of adding in a Cup or Wrath? I think by setting up a side battle, it'll help speed up getting Confusion or High Priest's Plot out.

The beauty of Phinehas and Hophni is that you don't have to use the ability at all if you don't want; they're just low-numbered guys that can band if you want them to. In the end, after you have used both your PG Enhancements, they can be nice auto-block guys if you need 'em.
-
There's no point of including something I don't plan on using for the ability. That's card fluff. If I just wanted low numbered PG, I would choose King Jehoikim. Not only would he compliment my obedience of noah possibly, he gives as good of initiative as I can get. No point compromising, I might as well go as low as I can.
-
Well I don't know why you would ever refuse to use their abilities, but if you do, then I guess I would go with Jehoiakim. :-\
-
If it's turn, say 3 or 4, and I have those two in my hand and confusion, would I rather use and and play Confusion to get SoG/NJ and then die or use both and maybe block? The point of this deck is destroy the SoG as soon as I can and then lockout them out before they get to 5. Phinehas/Hophni is just a delay factor, I don't see it being much more useful than osme other options.
-
Needs more enhancements.
-
Lol wut? More enhancements? I'm trying to win with the deck, not overload it with unusable cards. You don't understand the strategy here if you want enhancements in here.
-
What about holy unto the Lord for an extra d/c of an evil card each turn? You always have Asher to get them back as long as they are genesis. Perhpas a Rebecah or Sarah to help with Simeons ability? Dove could help too if you only have jacob and want to do the same thing as Simeon.
-

True, but he's never going to have the opportunity to use both. He doesn't have any PG battlestoppers that don't kill the EC, so it's going to be extremely rare that he use one of those guys for their enhancements one turn and have them survive to use their band-to-discard the next.
-
Right, that's true; I didn't really think of that.

Decent Idea on I am Holy, but my artifact slot will always be taken either Confusion of Mind or Holy of Holies.

This is the jist of what I was trying to say, but said better.
