Title: Isaiah Assyrians Modified
Post by: Bobbert on October 09, 2011, 09:12:34 AM
I kinda like this deck. I used it with a few different cards to win 3 out of 5 games, and used this exact one to win multiplayer. Tell me what you think!

BTW: I already know it's 63 cards. I won 2/3 of my games with 63 cards. That's better than I've ever done with a 50/56 card deck.

More Isaiah Angels? That's all I can think of.

I prefer a mix of Assyrians and Magicians over straight Assyrians.

With this many Assyrians, I really wonder why you don't run Protection of Jerusalem.

I agree, and as a side note, would it almost be worth to, at the very least, bump up a Prophets/Assyrian deck to 56 with extra Assyrians to use PoJ on? I've been skeptical of it, and haven't had it in my offense-heavy Prophets/Assyrians so far, but with a slightly larger deck size, the payoff might be worth it.

My Prophessyrian deck is 56 with PoJ, just for reference and it's pretty speedy (I run Hur+Gifts in it).

I think I'd like to get an Elder's opinion on this one, you know, someone with authority.

Disclaimer: KIDDING. What kind of record do you have on that brow? (I am, for the first time, realizing there's no "N" in your name.)

Haha, no N. :P

I've only used it at one tourney so far, and I believe I had 2 straight-up wins and a timeout win (our playgroup is relatively small so we don't generally have many rounds).

Ok, so what's good for Magicians? I might start looking for those.

See 2nd paragraph and last sentence of the first post.

I've been going back and forth over PoJ, and the main reason it isn't there is because I don't have room. I had to take out some stuff that I liked to fit in the Micah tin stuff I got on Saturday. Suggestions on how to fit it in? And maybe also my Harvest Time (since my bro never draws souls? :P)

Invoking Terror, Egyptian Magicians. Maybe an Enchanter or Damsel to put Charms on.

I'd be more inclined to just do Protection of Jerusalem with a bunch of Assyrians than I would a mix of Assyrians and Magicians, but that's me.
