I'd take out 2 artifacts: Writ, The Bronze Laver, and/or Gifts. I don't think you need more heroes though.

Women as Snares seems counter productive to Susanna, Divination, and Hormah. I'd probably drop her or add in another soul and dominant (probably Mayhem), dropping something. But probably drop her.

I'd probably drop Chaldeans for A New Covenant.

I'd drop Magician's Snakes for Achan's Sin, and then drop 1st Round or Revealer for Cannot be Prevented. Probably Revealer.

No Damsel? I'd definitely try to fit her in. Maybe cut Women as Snares?

I agree with Westy about the artifacts.

made some changes.  i dont see a problem with all the artifacts, many are only 1-2 uses, charms can be placed and lampstand goes in the fort so i dont think it will get too clogged.  i wanted women of snares to help clear the way for garden tomb, but i agree she is counterproductive, im just afraid of running into too much of a defense or demons without her now

The problem with the numerous artifacts isn't pile clog, it's stunting. You only have eight Heroes and a ton of Artifacts, so very often you'll be unable to attack because you've drawn too many of them at once.

Here's some food for thought about this deck. At Natz, the only defense you're likely to encounter will be diminutive or Magicians who have Charm anyway. You're investing a lot of card slots in cards that you'll likely never get to use.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

the deck that won nationals used more of a defense than usual, so im guessing that more people will be using more defense, so i dont see any harm in putting in a few more cards to be prepared.  what arts could i take out really?  i dont see anything that i could spare other than maby a new cov but i can search for that so it wont cause so much of a clog

I heard you were playing Geneptians.
Only in the sense that I had a Genesis offense, and I had Egyptians as part of my defense.  However, in addition to a full Egyptian defense (ie. not just the drawing stuff of a true Geneptian deck) I also had a full Herod defense, and some extra defensive fun stuff thrown in as well.  On top of that I had a minimal Genesis offense, and overall deck size of 63.

I personally wouldn't call that a Geneptian deck by any means :)

No, he just didn't use a splash defense. The overall size was the same. Furthermore, Pharisees practically beg to get converted, so all those converts are still encumbered slots.

@Prof, o_0 Both full Herods and full Genesis are both absolutely enormous, how on earth did you get both, and extra defense, and an offense, into a 63 card deck?

Snakes is way better than achan's sin TBH.

Depends on the situation. I find that the most common way to win battles right now is massive banding while negating evil characters. This is used in The Deck, Disciples (James to John or Other James to Thaddeus), and FBTNB. This makes mass killers like Achan's Sin better than immunity cards like Snakes. Magicians' Snakes tends to be worse because A. You need initiative, forcing you into a particular situation before you play it, making you vulnerable. B. They aren't likely to play a battle winner anyway, given the meta, so your immunity doesn't do much. C. The protection from Dominants is meaningless, because they aren't going to give you initiative and then play Angel of the Lord. Grapes of Wrath is the only other alternative, and that can be played on Magician's Snakes to get a slightly lesser benefit. Achan's Sin is a great way to cripple your opponent, and is tough to stop when you have the Cannot be Prevented lost soul.

I didn't have the full Genesis offense, just a minimal one (Joeseph, Benjamin, Rachael, Judah, Jacob, Asher, Zebulun, Forgiveness of Joseph, Joseph Before Pharaoh, Reuben's Torn Clothes, Abraham's Descendants, Journey to Egypt).  That left plenty of room for a supersized defense in a 63 card deck.  I had actually been playing it at 70 for a while online and really liked that version better, but switched to the 63-card size for Nats to deal with the time limits.  I ended up feeling like I really missed those last 7 cards though.

I ended up only having 2 games where time was even a factor.  One was my final game against a monster sized 150 card deck.  I did deck out, but his defense was too strong for my minimal offense to get past before we timed out.  I'm really not sure why the other game timed out.  There were some judges rulings I think that may have slowed us down, but I really don't remember much from that game.

sorry for the necro-bump, but recently started using this deck again and found myself a card slot short, but i have no idea what to put it.  was thinking something like a new cov or cov with palestine, holy of holies, bronze laver, or something to help the defense, but idk what...any advice?

You have 7 EC and 7 EE, but 2 of your EC can't play your enh and are either an auto block (Uzzah) or passing to someone who can play your enh (TAS).  My suggestion is to add more EC.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see why you need Lampstand all that much.  If you drop it and Herod's Temple, you could add 2 EC (which you need).

Definitely drop either the revealer or the site doubler and get the CBP lost soul in here.  Personal choice would be the site doubler - lots of ways for your opponent to generate his own souls, and hopefully you'll be drawing lots of cards and won't be able to keep your LoB empty with Hormah.  Revealer, however, is fun to play to mess with your opponent :)

I'm personally not a huge fan of Divination, so I would suggest taking that out for Magician's Snakes.  Immunity may not remove their offense like Achan's Sin (which you should definitely keep), but it can still win the battle, which is what you need to do.

I like Mayhem more than Grapes, and I think in a deck like this that is fairly dependent on a couple key cards, using Mayhem after dropping your hand <6 can be a great way to cycle through and possibly snag what you need, as well as speed up your deck a little.

what ec's would you suggest? maybe assyrian archer and ASA?

i can see dropping the temple and lampy, id then probably want to add something to help retain heroes like CoF or a new cov...

the idea behind the deck is to control the LS's i get through divination, Susanna, hormah and site doubler, burial, and DoU when needed.  the fact im using garden tomb, meeting the messiah, and holy grail should help keep my opponent from generating many LS's, since the ec's will either not be able to enter battle, get converted in territory, or i use TSA to negate their ability.  its not perfect, expecially since i also use capture, but it works better than you would think.  for this reason i want to keep the site doubler and divination, but i am not opposed to putting in the CBP LS for something, i just cant bring myself to take anything out for it, maybe the 4 color negate LS?

ill consider taking out grapes for mayhem, especially since most of my cards i can drop pretty easily
